Red and Kraft all over...

Tonights card is a fun twist on the traditional Christmas card.  I love the red gingham printed paper.  It was a freebie I found on the internet.  To start my inspiration I used the Runway Inspired Challenge #22.  The photo below was the inspiration.
So I used the printed paper and rounded the corners and die cut the holly leaves.  Die was from Papertrey Ink new Layered Postmarks Holiday set.  Layered onto a kraft base card with foam dots.  Greeting was stamped on a scrap of PTI white cardstock and stamped with Pure Poppy ink.  Attached with a tiny staple from Tim Holtz.

CAS-UAL Fridays had the kraft challenge and
Make-It-Monday was to used negitive die cuts.

Thanks for dropping by.  I always love to hear your comments,

Golden Wishes

Happy Friday to you!  I just got a minute to stamp and thought this would be a fun combo of challenges to put together.  First is the Play Date Cafe color challenge.  It was mint, gold and leather.  I thought the copper color in this card was very close to what I would call leather.
I started with a piece of brushed gold metalic cardstock and embossed the greeting from Papertrey Ink in copper embossing powder.  Then die cut the circle out of it.  Punched two holes and tied some copper ribbon I had through the holes.  Marked the circle with pencil on my white PTI base card and stamped the wreath from the Frame-It #9 set from PTI in Aqua Mist ink.  I used a copper marker to make the berries in the wreath and popped it all up with foam dots.

This was a fun sketch from CAS(E) this sketch blog challenge.  I used it for my layout.

The card to the right was a challenge of inspiration over at CASE Study blog.  I thought my layout and colorway closely reflected the challenge card.

The Make-It-Monday challenge was to use reverse die cutting in a card.

Thanks so much for stopping by and spending part of your Friday with me!

October Blog Hop

Hey all. This is the last one for tonight and my favorite.  Love the colorway soft and eventhough it is blues I think it has a warm feel to it.  Must be the knitting.
So the front of my card is Soft Stone cardstock and the base is white PTI cardstock.  I die cut the two flakes from Snowflake Medley on the Soft Stone.  I mark the holes from the flakes with pencil on the white base card then stamp the snowflakes.

This was made for the Make-It-Monday reverse die cut challenge and the Blog Hop Christmas colorway challenge.  Thanks for stopping by to visit,
Sentimentally Sue.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop & Make-It-Monday

Hope you are staying warm and dry.  We are getting our first taste of winter with cold temps and wet weather. This is such a fun colorway!
So I started with the Chevron stamp set and used the Layered Postmarks Holiday die to cut the tree out. Then layered the rhinestones inside the tree cut out.  Again I colored the rhinestones with Sharpies to get the various colors.

Thanks for stopping by, Sentimentally Sue.

October Blog Hop & MIM #88 Take 2

Hi ya! So the ink was all out so I used the same colorway.  I like the retro feel to this one.  I am working on the negative die cut for the Make-It-Monday #88 challenge also.
I had some washi tape on my desk from Target in these colors too.  I used the new Layered Postmarks Holiday dies to make the holly leaves and colored the rhinestones with a red permanent marker to make them red.

Fun stuff.  Thanks for checking it out!

October PTI Blog Hop #1 & MIM#88

Hello and good evening!  The October blog hop over at Papertrey Ink was to use the unique colorways to make a Christmas card and the MIM challenge was to use positive and negative die cuts.  Well if you follow my blog at all you know this is right up my ally.  I do the negative die cut thing all the time. The photo was my color inspiration.
I used the new Frame-Its #9 stamps and die.
The jingle bell was my touch of whimsey!

PTI has the best cardstock for the die cutting.  It is nice and stiff which works great when working with the negitive die cuts!  Thanks for stopping by,

Hanging Hearts

Hello.  Hope your day was great!  When I saw this sketch I knew I just had to play along.  What fun! Thanks Retro Sketches.
I started with Papertrey Ink white cardstock, hearts stamps and dies.  The circle strip is Basic Grey paper and backers twine is from We R Memory Keepers.

I did put my heart into it so I am going to enter it in the CAS-Fridays #74 challenge.

Thanks for stopping by to check it all out!

Wishing you LOVE

Good evening!  These are fun colors to work with.
Whether it is Christmas or a wedding card these colors work.

The colorway was from the Playdate Cafe #153.

For the layout and inspiration I used the challenge card from the CASE Studay challenge.
I added the heart die cut from the CAS-ual Fridays challenge.
And lastly I am adding the Simon Says Stamp diecut or punch challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Glitter JOY!

Happy Friday to you!  I had this idea in my head when I first saw the make-it-monday video.  I wanted my tab to say something not just an accent.  So I die cut the joy in the tab before I used the heat 'n stick and glitter. Stamps, dies, cardstock, twine and ink are all from Papertrey ink. Bells I got at Hobby Lobby.
So this will be entered in the MIM #85 glittered tab challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope Whispers...

Hello.  It feels good to be stamping.  I should be cleaning but stamping is so much more fun.  I don't think I have ever tried to fit so many challenges in one card before.  This one will cover 5 challenges. I used PTI cardstock, dies and stamps. The twine and glitter is from Doodlebug.

The colorway I chose is from the Color Q challenge this week.

I was trying to honor those that fight with breast cancer.  October is breast cancer awareness month.

The inspiration card over at the CASE Study blog brought in the pink and asymmetrical greeting in the band across the card.

The Make-it-Monday challenge was to use a glitter tab on our card.  The tab is my "hope" title that I used heat and stick powder and the pink glitter with.

Simon Says Stamp blog hand a Glimmer and Sparkle challenge this week.  I thought the glitter had plenty of sparkle!

Well there you go.  Hope it brings a smile to your face today and thanks so much for dropping by, Sentimentally Sue.
