Maile Inspired Double Die Cut Challenge

Hello.  Maile is such a fabulous stamper with such a clean design eye.  I wanted to mimic her design style and throw in the double die cut challenge for good measure.
I die cut the frame from Aqua Mist and the sun from Lemon Tart cardstock.  The base and little cloud is white PTI cardstock.  Greeting stamped in Basic Black.  I popped the little cloud up with foam tape.

Imitation with Printables

Hi ya!  So for my first challenge I thought I would take one of Ashley's cards and pull the stripes, lower right image and ribbon accent to create my project.
Next I took one of the printables Nicole gave us for the challenge today to create my focal point.  The candles dictated my colorway of Ocean Tide and Berry Sorbet.

These are fun printables.  I might try to get a few more cards made up if I have time.  Thanks for stopping by,

Sixth Birthday Bash!

Happy Wednesday to you!  Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 6th Aniversary with some great challenges.  Todays was to take the printable images below and use them in your project.  I liked the Happy Birthday with the chevrons.  I printed the images out on a piece of PTI white cardstock.
For this card I used 3 images.  One for the aqua banner, one for the frame and one for the base image.  I used the Chevron background in Aqua Mist and Fine Linen ink on white card base.

All the layers were popped up with foam tape to different heights.

Happy "6" PTI!  Thanks for stopping by,

A Kowalczyk Admirer

One more time tonight.  As I said before Cristina is one of my favorite artists.  So for the PTI Birthday Challenge I used the card on the top right as my inspiration.
My card uses the printable hexagon paper I found on the internet printed on PTI white cardstock.  Then I took the Happy Hexagons set to fill in the color.  Mounted it all on a Basic Black card base.

Sweet dreams!  Thanks for stopping by,

Die Cut Double Up

Hello.  this is my second post for tonight and it is for two Papertrey Ink challenges.  First is the PTI Birthday challenge the we were to use one of the Papertrey artists work as our inspiration.  Maile has always been a great source of inspiration for me.  I used the second card on the right as my inspiration.
Here is my card.  I used a Kraft base card with Enchanted Evening double die cut star.  The small star is cut from bitty dot paper in Pure Poppy.  The address label was one I picked up at Target after Christmas.

The Make-it-Monday challenge was to double die an object for your project.  I used the star dies in all three sizes for my card.
Thanks for dropping by for a visit.  Come back soon,

Happy Birthday Papertrey Ink!

Hey there!  I can't believe a month has gone by since my last post.  Well it has been a busy month.  My husband had a hip replacement and my father had a stroke.  Things are working out to a even keel right now so some stamping was needed by me.
Cristina has been a favorite stamper of mine since before her Papertrey days.  I love her clean, crisp style.  She always brings the "fresh" to her projects and is a big inspiration.  I picked the card in the upper left to imitate.  I hope I can do it justice.

For Papertrey's 6th Birthday we were challenged to take our favorite artists projects and use them to create a project of our own.  I had found some printable hexagon paper on the web so I printed it on some PTI white cardstock then took the Happy Hexagon set and stamped away.  The ink was from PTI and Stampin" Up.  Cardstock was all from PTI.

Hope you have a pleasant night and please drop by again!
