I thought of a bright, fun birthday card would fit the bill for this double challenge.

AAA Cards Challenge #241

Hey there. Now those that know me know I love a great cup of coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening. lol. So the challenge at AAA Cards Blog is a perfect fit.

I chose the morning beverage for my card. Using the rectangle stamp from the Birthday Wishes stamp set from The Stamp Market I created the color block. Then using dark grey ink I stamped the coffee cup from Honey Bee's Coffee Break set. The greeting is also stamped in grey from the Technique Tuesday set Sassy Coffee. My panel was trimmed and mounted to a teal top folding card.

My hubby occasionally brings me coffee in bed.

AAA Cards Challenge #240

 Hello. Today is a special day on the AAA Card Challenge. We are celebrating our 9th birthday and hope you will join us for our "PINK" birthday celebration.

I started by stamping the Altenew Mini Cupcake to create my cupcake with fluffy, pink frosting. I die cut the cupcake three times to create some depth to my card. I then took my top folding white card base and stamping the wave and dotted square from the Ellen Hutson Stay Cool set. The happy birthday greeting is from the Tiny Words set from Simon Says Stamp. I added a few small stars to give my card some sparkle.

This is such a simple card with ink layering as my technique. I hope you will join our 9th birthday celebration challenge.

CAS Colours and Sketches #511

 Hey there! I have a fun new sketch to share with you from the CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge. I don't often make a card that is not A2 top-fold but we are working on a square card today for this challenge.

My card is pretty straight forward with balloons stamped and heat embossed in clear detail powder. Then colored with alcohol markers and a gel pen accent before covering with glossy accents.

CAS Colours anf Sketches #510

Hello. As I type this post in early March all I can think about that May should be green and lush for us in Iowa. Ahhhh...

We have a fun new color challenge up on the CC & S Blog today. The images and die are from Altenew's release in April "Walk in the Park". I got to partisipate as a guest designer for the blog hop and fell in love with this card layout.

AAA Birthday Card Challenge #49

 So is it spring where you are at? I hope so. We have a fun new balloon birthday challenge up for you on the AAA Birthday Card blog.

I started this card by creating my own stencil from the Papertrey Ink shaker balloon die. Then on a top folding white card base I ink-blended the three balloons. The strings were free-handed with a black marker. Then using the Honeybee Tailgate alphabet die set I cut out the hooray. Cutting several layers from scraps to pop up the letters. The happy birthday banner is from the Tiny Words set from Simon Says Stamp. 

It is a simple card with a pretty big punch from the colorful balloons. I am looking forward to seeing your balloon creations. thanks for stopping by, Sue.
