MIM #55...extended frames.

Hello and good afternoon.  Wanted to enter this in the frame challenge.  I used Fillable Frames #9 to make the belly band on the card.  Color pallet was Fine Linen, White and Classic Kraft cardstock.
I love the new Medallions Background set.  Could just play and play
with different color combos.  The butterfly dies are from PTI.
Twine is Martha Stewart.

Well that all for now.  Nasty weather today.
So I am sure I will be back later,
Sentimantally Sue.

MIM #55 and Card Paterns #154

Hi ya!  Still working the frame challenge over at Papertrey.  Use a frame image and extend it bigger than the original stamped image.  I used the new Frame Out set for the Sweet Blush frame around the greeting(Think Big #13)
and the zig-zag border below the greeting.
The color pallet was Raspberry Fizz, Melon Berry and Sweet Blush all from PTI.  Pom-pom trim was from Stampin Up.  The sketch below was the inspiration for the layout and the challenge #154 at the Card Patterns Blog.

Sweet dreams and God bless,
Sentimentally Sue.

Papertrey Ink MIM #55

Hello and Happy Tuesday evening!
So this weeks challenge was to take a frame stamp and extend it to bigger than its original size.  I got my new PTI order today so it was time to play.  I used the new Frame-Out series for my frame. My color pallet is Royal Velvet, Blueberry Sky and Spring Moss.
Stamped the frame twice and covered the edges with he greeting from the set and Think Big Favorites #13.  My new Spring Moss ink pad is definitely a different color from the original pad.  A lot less yellow to the pad.
Well thats all for now,
Sentimentally Sue.

Papertrey Febuary Blog Hop Challenge...Shaker.

Hello again.  So this is my second interactive card for today.  It is a shaker card with fun, bright colored beads inside the shaker.  Cardstock is white from Papertrey and black ink.  I die cut the happy and used foam tape and acetate to create the widow.
Simple.  Hope you are having a fun day with the blog hop ideas flowing.
  Thanks for stopping!
Sentimentally Sue

Papertrey Febuary Blog Hop Challenge...Pop-Up.

Hello and Happy Saturday to you!  I never thought I was an interactive card kind of gal but this has been fun.  I will say they are time consuming though.  I had made a similar card for PTI anniversary week challenge and thought how can I change this up a little.
So instead of using cardstock for the spiral part I used acetate.  That way the butterflies give you that floating or flying effect.  All supplies except the ribbon are from Papertrey Ink.  Color pallet was Sweet Blush, Aqua Mist, Lemon Tart, Spring Moss and Summer Sunrise.

The card below was my original card for anniversary week.
Have a great day!
Sentimentally Sue.

Glitter buttons all over!

Hello again.  I printed this fun paper from lovelydesigns by Sharilyn Wright.  It kind of reminded me of the new medalian stamp set from Papertry Ink that I am waiting on.  This time I took a white button and filled the center with diamentional adhesive and then a coral/red glitter.  Die cut the butterfly from the printed paper and mounted it to white cardstock then Dark Chocolate cardstock(PTI).  Stamped the greeting from Flower Fussion #12 in chocolate ink on a white strip of cardstock. Sewed the red ric-rack down front of the card then mounted it to a base card of White PTI cardstock.
This was entered in Papertrey Ink Make-It-Monday glitter button challenge #54.
Good night!
Sentimentally Sue

MIM #54...Glitter Challenge

So the glitter button challenge is still on.  I have never tried digital printed paper so the yellow print was my first stab at it.  It is from a company called lovelydesign by Sharilyn Wright.  Fun paper.  I matched it up with Lemon Tart, White and Classic Kraft cardstock(PTI).  Button was a Lemon Tart button that was glitter with Dazzling Diamonds glitter(SU). Greeting is from Curvy Verses(SU).
Mini staples are from Tim Holtz.
Later,
Sentimentally Sue.

High Tea @ The Shabby Tea Room

Hello.  The challenge #102 at the Shabby Tea Room was to take the picture below and create a project to mimic it including a doilies and the color pallet.
Here is my project.  Cardstock is White and Hawaiian Shores from Papertry Ink.  Doilies I picked up at JoAnn Fabrics.  Flower stamps and ink are Stampin Up.  Greeting is from PTI.  Gold ink is ColorBox.  I don't know where the ribbon is from.

Have a great evening!
Sentimentally Sue.

Glitter, glitter and more glitter.

This is so ironic that I am playing with glitter.  Anyone that knows me very well, knows that I hate the mess.  I wish there was a way to do it without having glitter everywhere.  this card uses the color pallet of Lemon Tart and Melon Berry.  I started with a white cardstock and die cut the butterfly(PTI) then ran it through with a spellbinders shaped square die.  Stamped the greeting from the Happy Day set(PTI) in Melon ink.  The backgound paper and ribbon were from Stampin Up and the mini staple is Tim Holtz.
I glittered the Lemon Tart button and tied with melon floss.  Again I popped the white layer with foam tape.  All of this is mounted on a 4.25 by 4.25" Lemon Tart base card.
That all for now,
Sentimentally Sue.

Make-It-Monday #54...Glitter

Hi again.  So the challenge over on Nicole's blog was to make and use glitter buttons on your project.  I started with a Rustic Cream cardstock(PTI) and punched out the stars(SU).  I then added some Martha Stewert paper tape to the front of the card.  Base is Hawaian Shores cardstock. Buttons were run through my Xyron Sticker maker and covered with glitter.  I tied the buttons with bakers twine from Martha also.  Greeting tag was diecut from Rustic Cream and a Spellbinders die.  Stamped with a greeting from Tag-Its #10 in Pure Poppy Ink.
I popped the cream layer with foam dots when I mounted it to the Hawaian Shores layer.  On to more glitter fun!!
Sentimentally Sue

MIM #54...Glitter Buttons

Glitter and Raspberry Fizz just seam to go together.  So my color pallet is Raspberry Fizz, Royal Velvet(PTI), Yoyo Yellow and Green Galore(SU).  The flower was die cut with a Spellbinders die then stamped with the Houndstooth Backgound stamp(PTI).  I die cut the yellow and Royal Velvet layer with dies from PTI's 1.75" circles collection.  Leaves were hand cut and stamped with greetings from Tag-Its #10.  I embossed the yellow layer with a folder from ProvoCraft.
Tag is die cut with a tag die from Sizix, button is from PTI and white floss is DMC.
Later,
Sentimentally Sue.

Happy Tuesday to you!

Hello.  I had a friend ask for some bithday cards and when I went to look, my stock was sorely lacking.  So got busy with the Make-It-Monday #54 challenge and birthaday cards on my plate.  The MIM challenge was to use and make glitter buttons.  Well this is a challenge for me because a hate messy and glitter is always messy.  This card uses stamps from Inkadinkado(doilies) and greeting from PTI.  The color pallet was Berry Sorbet, Royal Velvet and Summer Sun(SU).
I die cut the button from coaster board and white PTI cardstock, glittered and tied a silk ribbon through the holes.  Everythink from the Royal Velvet layer is popped up with foam dots.  The card below was my inspiration.  I had saved it and don't have the proper name of the artist but she should get the credit for the inspiration.
I have some more ideas so I will be back later.

MIM #53 and CAS-Friday #40

Hello.  Hope you had a great Sunday.  This card used 3 different ribbons.  The plaid, 5/8" pink grosgrain and 1/8" pink stiched ribbon.  I stitched all of them to the Aqua Mist scalloped section that was stamped with Polka Dot Basics with white ink.  The slider(scallop circle) and #7  is cut from coaster board and covered with Bitty Dot paper from Papertrey Ink.  The card is made with Raspberry Fizz and Aqua Mist cardstock and ink.  Dies are all from PTI.
I am entering it in the CAS-Fridays "Tie It On" ribbon challenge and the Make-It-Monday coaster board challenge.

Good night,
Sentimantally Sue.

MIM #53...Coaster Challenge

So I was still playing with the coaster board and the interactive cards for my nieces 7th birthday.  Again I am going so send her 7 cards for her 7th birthday.  Hopefully for the 7 days preceding her birthday. I used PTI coaster board for cutting the shaker portion of the card and the layers to create the space for the beads.  Their coaster cuts so nice compared to other brands.  The circle dies are from Spellbinders.  The "7" and pinked circle die and Papertrey Ink.  The cardstock, greeting, acetate and Bitty Dot paper is also PTI.
Ribbon is from Stampin Up.  Staples are Tim Holtz.
I have one more coaster card for my niece.

CAS-Fridays #40...Tie One On and MIM #53.

Good evening.  So the Friday challenge over at CAS-Fridays blog was to use ribbon in your clean design card.  I took a PTI coaster covered it with adhesive and wove ribbon over the top.  This was not as simple as I thought when I started out but I was pleased with the end result.  This is .25" grosgrain ribbon from Stampin Up.  Colors are burgundy, mustard and eggplant. The white CS, Royal Velvet CS, butterfly dies(2), button and greeting are all From Papertry Ink.
I know that you can't see the coaster but it was key because you needed something sturdy enough to hold the ribbon in place with out warping.

I am tired after this card stamping marathon I have been on and have an excess of cards.  I would love to give some card blog candy to anyone who leaves a comment(sorry US only).  I will draw someone on Monday to send a package of goodies too.
Hope you all have a pleasant evening,
Sentimentally Sue

Day #5 CPS #38 and MIM #53

Hey there!  So the coaster board challenge is still on so I die cut the button card, buttons and pinked fabric swatch out of coaster board.  Stamped them with Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist Spring Moss and Dark Chocolate PTI ink.  I was amazed at how clear the images were stamped right on the coaster.  I used the Button Boutique set for the images except the fabric swatch that is stamped in gingham.  Button card and buttons were also inked with Versamark and heat embossed with clear detail powder.

I played a little with the proportions of that background but felt it still followed the sketch at Card Positioning Systems.

Later, Sentimentally Sue.

CSP #37...Celebrate 5 Years

Good Morning! Card Positioning Systems is celebrating their five year anniversary and issuing a daily card sketch challenge.  Today is day #6 and the sketch is below.  I started with a Rustic Cream(PTI) base card and pieced four background papers to layer on top. Egg Hunt (Rusty Pickle), gingham and stripe(the girls' paperie), and yellow dot (PTI) are then sewn to the base card.  I inked the edges with Tea Dye Duo from Papertrey Ink.  Little tags were cut and stamped with greeting from Stampin Up.  Buttons(PTI) and tags were tied with twine from Martha.

That's all for now,
Sentimentally Sue.

CASE Study #78, Simon Says "Tag" and MIM #53

So for these challenges I thought I would try something other than a card.  It is a coaster ornament/tag.  Started with a PTI coaster, painted it white and die cut with a Spellbinders scallop square die.  Then cut a piece of Lemon Tart Bitty Dot paper and sewed it to the coaster. Used a smaller scallop die and cut a Spring Rain cardstock square.  Punched holes around the square.  Die cut three eggs with the Egg Hunt die(PTI) from coaster board.  Layers background paper from PTI and The Girls'Paperie on the eggs.  The Easter Egg Hunt announcement paper is from Rusty Pickle.
Inked the edges of eggs with Tea Dye Duo and layered with buttons(Sweet Blush, Spring Rain and Spring Moss).  Dye Cut a flower from Lemon Tart felt.  Made the hanger from some pink gingham ribbon from Pebbles.  The Case Study card was my inspiration(shown below).  Fun stuff!!

I am also entering it into the Simon Says Stamp "Tag It" challenge.
Should be it for tonight.  Sweet dreams,
Sentimentally Sue.

PDCC119, Card Patterns #152 and MIM #53

So this is a three challenge card.  Play Date Cafe was for the color "Hot Pink" with black and white(pic below).  Card Patterns Sketch was an off set focal point with double banding(sketch below).  The Papertrey Make-It-Monday was using coaster board.  So I started with a light weight coaster from PTI and colored it with watercolor crayons from Stampin Up.  Then I stamped the flower image from the set Friends Till the End(PTI) in black ink.  Cut the image out and embossed it with the hounds tooth folder from ProvoCraft.  Cover the image with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear detail powder.  Black and White cardstock are from Papertrey, ribbons are from Hobby Lobby and twine is We R Memory Keepers.
Greeting is from the set Giga Guidelines(PTI) stamped in Black ink.  I hope you can see the hounds tooth pattern on the flower.  With the heat embossing it really shines in person.  Thanks for listening tonight!

Later,
Sentimentally Sue

MIM #53...Coaster Board again.

Hi again.  This is the second coaster board card for today the other one should be below this post.  I have the old Sweet Blush pad that turned funking colors when stamped.  I explain this because that is what I inked the coaster board with and it looks like Lemon Tart in person.  After it was inked and cut with the med. scallop die I ran it through my Cuttlebug with a Paper Studio embossing folder.  Then I sewed the doilies to the back of it.  Made a flower from one of the Blossom dies with old book print and Raspberry Fizz felt.  I don't know the exact name of the die and the PTI site is down but it is the 6 petal flower with the little points on the ends of the petals.  Tied some twine through a Oceans Tide button and and mounted it to the center.
Lastly I stamped Think Big Favorites #6 in Oceans Tide ink on a Classic Kraft base.
That's all for now,
Sentimentally Sue.

MIM #53 and Card Pattern Sketch #152

Hello!  I took a day off after 42 blog posts with new cards and 10 verbal entries at PTI during their fifth anniversary celebration in 10 days.  No prizes for me.  A little bummed but you can't be the winner all the time. Boy, would I have loved to win one of those big prizes.  So we put on our big girl panties and move on to the next challenge.  We were to use coaster board on our project.  The Scalloped piece is coaster board that has been colored with Aqua Mist ink, Cut with the Med. Scallop boarder and embossed with a Paper Studio embossing folder.
I then took the scalloped piece and sewed it to the doilies.  Made the flower with one of PTI's Blossom dies out of old book print.  Added Lemon Tart felt leaves(hand cut) and stitched. Then strung some buttons across the scallops.  All of this mounted on a Simply Chartreuce base card that was embossed with the same folder.  Greeting was from the set Think Big Favorites #5.  Kind-of a lot of business going on there.  I am also going to enter this in Card Pattern Sketch #152.
I have one more card to share in a bit,
Sentimentally Sue

PTI Day #10 and MIM #53(3)

Howdy!  This should be it for tonight.  I am still working on the interactive card and the coaster board challenge.  This is a pop-up card inside and the coaster board was used on the balloons.  I die cut circles for the balloons and covered them with Bitty Dot paper in Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise and Pure Poppy.  Stamped the front of a white card with Polka-Dot Basics then Big and Bold Greetings.  Added ribbon from Stampin Up and a PTI button tied with red bakers twine.
Inside I cut a separate piece of white cardstock to make the pop-ups and attached the balloons.  I used embroidery floss for the strings in the balloons.  The inside greeting is from the Tag-Its #10 set.

Happy Valentines Day!!
Sentimentally Sue

PTI Day #10 and MIM #53

So in true challenge form I decided to try to combine the two PTI challenges today.  They are an interactive card with a coaster board card.  The scallop square and egg are cut from coaster board.  I covered the egg with bitty dot Sweet Blush background paper.  The coaster was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and painted with gloss white acrylic paint then inked with Sweet Blush ink.  Card base and ink on frame greeting is Simply Chartreuse ink.  Greeting die cut and frame was from the Christmas Label set.  The greeting itself is from Memory Box.
So the interactive part is if you tip the card form side to side
the egg will spin across the card.
All for now,
Sentimentally Sue

PTI Day #10...interactive cards(2)

Hello again.  Boy, interactive cards take sometime to create.  Lots of pieces.  For this one I used Winter Penguin and Tag-Its #10 stamp sets.  Color pallet was Orange Zest, Aqua Mist and Lilac(SU).  Star punches are from Stampin Up.  All other dies are from Papertrey Ink.
I have a niece that will turn 7 in March and someone gave me the idea to send her 7 cards for her birthday and I thought this would be a great one for that.  Below is the inside and also the interactive part.

I also want to say "Thank You" for all the kind words of
encouragement everyone has shared.
Sentimentally Sue

PTI Day #10...interactive cards.

Good afternoon!  Papertrey Ink issued a challenge today to make an interactive card.  I had also seen some pinwheels on Pinterest the other day and thought that would be a fun element to add to my card today.  I started with some Echo Park background paper and took some Aqua Mist ink and added it to the green side.  Cut a 3" square and snipped almost to the center from the tips.  Folded the tips to the center and added the button.  Die cut a piece of Raspberry Fizz background paper and mounted the pinwheel to it.  There is a "Happy Birthday" greeting under the tear-away strip.
Orange Zest, Leaf Green, Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise and Raspberry Fizz is my color pallet.  Meduim Scallop Border was used to make the bottom border.  I used a sewing marking wheel to make the perforations for the tear-away strip.  I might need to make a few more interactive cards today.
Later, Sentimentally Sue.

PTI Day #9 and MIM #53 again.

One last card for the challenges tonight.  I used the coaster pieces left over from my other coaster card.  I had inked the coaster up with the tea dye duo and embossed it with the woodgrain plate.  The other colors I used were Aqua Mist and Berry Sorbet.  I stamped the houndstooth background on Rustic Cream cardstock.  Berry Sorbet cardstock was die cut with med scallop border die and crimped.
I will enter this in the Butterfly/Leaf  and the Coaster challenges.
Okay, this is all for tonight,
Sentimentally Sue

PTI Day #9...butterfly and leaf.

I should not say this but I love this card.  It is so simple.  I started with a white base, stamped the branch with Ripe Avocado ink and then used Spring Moss to over stamp the larger leaf image.  Butterflies were stamped in Summer Sunrise ink.
Stamp sets used were Round and Round, and Beyond Basic Borders.
Sentimentally Sue

PTI Day #9 and MIM #53

So still working with the butterflies and leaves for day #9 and add in the MIM challenge for coaster board and we get the card below.  I started with the coaster that I inked up with the tea dye duo the embossed with the woodgrain plate.  Die cut the coaster with butterfly and frame dies.  I stamped the kraft card with Classic kraft ink using the With Sympathy set.  Greeting is from the Think Big Favorites #3 stamped in Chocolate ink.
Poped the coaster up with foam dimensional.
That's all for now,
Sentimentally Sue

PTI Day #9...Butterflies and Leaves

Hi again.  This is my second card for the butterflies and leaves challenge.  I started with a white card base and stamped the Polka-Dot background in Simply Chartreuce ink.  Then stamped buttons from Button Boutique in the center of the dots in Aqua Mist Summer Sunrise and Lavender Moon.  Stamped the flowers in Bluch, Aqua, Lavender and Sunrise.  Stems are Simply Chartreuce.  I colored the vellum butterfly with aqua ink.
Greeting if from the Flower Fusion #12 set also stamped in black ink.
Later,
Sentimentally Sue

PTI Day #9...Butterflies and Leaves

Hello.  Papertrey Ink is still celebrating their 5th. Anniversary by issuing another day of challenges.  Today's challenge is all about butterfly and leaf projects.  My card is three die cut butterflies out of Basic Gray background paper stacked and sewn to the front of a white base card.  Then I stamped the leaf sprig from Beyond Basic Borders in half strength Aqua Mist ink and greeting in Berry Sorbet ink.
Simple and springy,
Sentimentally Sue.

PTI Day #7 and MIM #52

Hi ya!  Okay, this falls under both challenges again.  I die cut nine hearts from Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped six hearts with Blush Blossom ink both sides.  Then stamped the remaining three with Simply Chartreuce ink.  Used the Tea Dye Duo on the edges.  Cut the chartreuce hearts into leaf shapes.  Card base is Rustic Cream cardstock edged with the duo again with a smaller layer of Fine Linen cardstock mounted on top.  Greeting is also from the Heart Prints set.
Lastly I stiched around the edge.
Sentimentally Sue

PTI Day #7 and MIM #52

Hello!  Today's challenge was to make a project with hearts.  I have made so many Valentines this year I could not make another.  So I went with a springy flower made from the Heart Print dies.  Colors used were Spring Moss, Summer Sun, Pure Poppy and Aqua Mist.  The background was stamped with Polka Dot background and the greeting was from Vintage Picnic Sentiments.
I also want to enter this in the MIM challenge for dimensional images or folded over images.  Off for now,
Sentimentally Sue
