Home, Hearth and Prize Stag

Winding down for a full stamping Friday. I ordered the Kuretake Gansai watercolor palette and got a chance to play a little bit today.  They are wonderful but I have a long way to go. Lol. I wanted to play with
Ellen Hutsons Pin-tastic Challenge. Here is our inspiration

Here are my cards:
I tried to water color a couple of panels using the colors from the inspiration photo. I used both the Home & Hearth and Prize Stag dies to create the cards.
Thanks for visiting, Sue.

Hello Sunshine

Hi there. I am thinking I better get to my laundry instead of stamping all day. So this might be it for the day.  This card was a sketch, shacked and hello challenges all rolled into one.
I masked off a white cardstock panel then sponged Soft Sky ink over a cloud stencil. Stamped the hello in black ink over the clouds. Next I die cut the sun and created a shaker element. I used some seed beads and glitter in the shaker backed with yellow cardstock.
It is super hard to see in the photo but I went around the sun cut out several times with Wink of Stella. Then mounted the panel on a Soft Sky card base with foam tape. I will enter the card in the challenges below.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend, Sue.

Pretty Pink Possies

Hello. I had ordered some die and stamps from AliExpress online. Super cheap but you better not be in a hurry. I think my order took almost a month to get here. This floral image was from one of those sets. The greeting is from PTI called Pen and Ink. I started with a piece of Strathmore watercolor paper and heat embossed with white detail powder.
I used some Distress Ink to color in my image with a water brush. I let the panel dry then heat embossed the greeting. Offset the greeting a little and stamped it in light pink ink to create a shadow and help the greeting stand out. Then mounted it to a rose card base. I will enter it in several card challenges.
Thanks for visiting today, Sue.

Navy Silhouette

Hey there. Hope everyone is having a great Friday. We are having a beautiful day for harvesting in Iowa.
Today's silhouette card is using a color challenge from My Favorite Things as my starting point.

My card uses PTI stamp sets mini blooms and watercolor wonder. I thought the navy was a fun change from the traditional black silhouette.
I started with a PTI white card base and used Stampin' Up inks. I also wanted to enter it in several other challenges including the Happy Little Stamped CAS silhouette challenge.
Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Using the Positive & Negative

Good morning. One of life's greatest lessons is to use both the positive and negative in our lives to shape us into a better person. I by no means have this down but by creating these cards it reminded me to learn from those negative times and rejoice with God in the positive times. Now that I am done with my philosophy for today, let's get on with the cards.

Both cards started with the same supplies.
Water color paper, kraft cardstock, water color paints, Leaf Silhouette die (PTI), Razzleberry ink (SU) and Simple Sentiments stamps (PTI).
I started by wetting down a Strathmore panel and just letting the colors swirl together. I let it dry then die cut the leaves from it.

I placed post-it tape over the die cut to keep the bits and pieces together. Then pulled the positive of leaf off. To make the second card I put some liquid glue on the back off the negative leaf parts and using the tape on the front positioned the leaves. The greeting is stamped and mounted with a little foam tape on the back. These cards were created for several challenges.

Christmas Tree Copy

Good morning. Beautiful, sunshiny day here in the midwest.  Feeling sad for those that are struggling with weather issues. Praying that God will protect those families that need some extra care right now and that they may receive the help they need.
Papertrey Ink is having another release week and I am loving all the fun Christmas products they have.  Their challenge this week is to take one of the designers cards an sort of copy it. Here is my card made with Tree Trimming Trio set.
And here is Nicole's card made with the new Christmas tree set, Very Merry.

With Sympathy

Hello and let the weekend festivities begin!
I was working off of the Sugar Peas card challenge with this photo and sketch.

I started with an A2 size white card base and stamped the first doily in a soft pink like the second story of the building. Then used a coral color for the first story and finally die cut the greeting from PTI in an evergreen to match the doors. Added a few clear Nuvo drops. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.
The doily stamps I think are from Inkadinkado.

Apple for the Teacher

Hey there! Super quick Apple card here today for several challenges. I started with a white A2 card from Papertrey Ink. Stampeding with the Tag It #6 set also from PTI. Added a little Wink of Stella on the apples and stars to finish it off.
 Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

I would also like to enter it in the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday challenge #296 small image repeat.

Butterfly Fly Away...

Hello and happy Thursday to you!

Todays card was for several challenges. I started with Less is More colorway of royal blue and lime green.
I did a watercolor wash with reinkers on Strathmore watercolor paper. Then punched a bunch of vellum butterflys and made a circles swirl for the Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge.

And last but not least I wanted to enter this card in the AAA Cards Creatures Great and Small Challenge.

The greeting is 3 stacked die cuts glued together with Wink of Stella on them. It is really hard to see but it gave it a pretty shimmer.
Thanks for stopping by, Sue.
