MIM #63...Glitter!

Hello!  Well here we are winding down the weekend.  One of the challenges on the PTI blog mentioned using the scraps on your desk.  hahaha my desk is deep. I tried to take a picture but it didn't turn out.  Maybe the camera was shocked at the mess.  Well with those scraps there were some butterflys from a watercolored background.
So the top one got "glittered" and layered up.
This is a simple card using the Wish Big, Polka Dot Background and Movers and Shakers Sentiments.  The challenge at MIM was to glitter the die cuts and use them on a card.  Hope you have a great evening!

Mojo 238

Good evening.  The Mojo sketch for this week used 12 squares to make the background.  I die cut some pinked squares and inked the edges to make them aged.  I wanted a printed muslin look so I stamped a flower in the same tea dye ink.  Then put them down and sewed the squares down to a kraft base card.

I die cut the flowers from some October Afternoon paper and cut leaves from some PTI felt.  Greeting is also from Papertrey Ink.

Sweet dreams,
Sentimentally Sue.

MIM #63...Glittered Diecuts

So I was so excited how this came together!  First you have to understand.  I don't like glitter.  Not because it is not pretty...it is.  I do not like it because it is MESSY.  Let me tell you right now I am wearing glitter and so is the chair I am sitting in and by tonight my husband will no doubt have glitter on him too.  But I do love this card.  So you usually don't think of glitter and manly together but I thought it might just help the dad tie to stand out and I think it does.
Stamp set and die is World's Greatest from Papertrey Ink.  Color pallet is Terracotta Tile, New Leaf, Enchanted Evening and Dark Chocolate.

Tape Color Trends

Happy Saturday to you!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start.  Just got into my stamp room for the day.  I did some baking and laundry this morning.  So my first card for the day is an Embellish Magazine washi tape and color challenge.
I used Martha Stewart tape and a Sizix/Hero Arts stamp set and dies.  This was the first time I had used one of these combo sets and they worked great.

Stamped the bicycle with Versamark and heat embossed with black detail powder.  Then diecut the bicycle.  The flag was part of the set also.  I just covered the cardstock with tape then die cut the flag.  Used a corsage pin for the stick on the flag and added the green bead in place of the pearl.  Popped up the bicycle and flag with foam tape.  The cardstock is Stampin Up confetti white.

Embellish Mag and MIM #63

Good evening!  Well this is the last card for tonight.  Embellish Magazine has a new challenge out to use washi tape in a blue, red, green and yellow color way.  Papertrey Ink has their Make-it-Monday glitter diecut challenge.  So I combined both in this card.
White cardstock, dies, twine and stamps are all from PTI
and the washi tape is Martha Stewart.  Glitter is Stampin Up.

Sweet dreams and thanks for stopping!

PDCC129

Hello, Thanks for stopping by.  When I first saw this challenge photo I was drawn to the pillow fabric in the upper right hand corner. I love the bold graffic style of the fabric.  So that was my jumping off point.

Navy blue has always been a favorite color to use in place of black for the line images so that is what I used to stamp my flowers from a gel-a-tins stamp set.  Greeting and white cardstock are from Papertrey Ink. Inks are from Stampin Up.

Later, Sentimentally Sue.

Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab

Hey there!  Yea! ...it's the weekend!  So over on the Moxie Fab they were having a Tuesday Trigger challenge with this dress as our inspiration.  Pretty huh?
Well below is my card.  I used the Beautiful Butterflies from Papertrey Ink and stamped them with dye based ink on watercolor paper.  Used a rock and roll technique to get two colors on each butterfly.  Color pallete was coral, hot pink and orchid.  Lastly I took a water brush and some of the ink to bleed some color across the card.  Let it dry and stamped the greeting also from PTI.  Layered it up and wala...done.

Off to play some more,
Sentimentally Sue.

PTI April Blog Hop

Hello,  Busy night but I wanted to get a card posted for the blog hop.
The picture below is the inspiration.  I love fabric almost as much as paper
so this was right up my ally.

So below is my card.  The Rosie Posie set was a must and the Houndstooth and Polka Dot backgrounds just fit so nice too. Colors were Sweet Blush, Raspberry Fizz,
Aqua Mist and Simply Chartreuse.

Well off to a meeting.  Have a great evening and thanks for stopping.

Birthday Wishes!

Howdy!  I am going to enter this into 2 challenges.  The Papertrey MIM #62
"Step-it-Up" challenge and the Runway Inspiration "ric#10" challenge.  So the first card is the simple one layer card.  PTI greeting and cardstock.  Doilie stamps are from Martha Stewart.

The stepped up version uses Canyon Clay cardstock and lots of layers popped up with foam tape.  Sorry about the funny shadow on the second card.  I am not sure if it was the lighting or my camera.

Here is the inspiration photo.

MIM #62 and ric#10

Happy Sunday to you!  So all I have to say is this card had nowhere to go but up.  That is where I started.  I wanted to use the Papertrey Ink "step-it-up" challenge (MIM #62) and the color pallete from the Runway (ric#10) challenge.  Base card was white PTI cardstock with Canyon Clay and black ink.
Next I added the Canyon Clay cardstock and some washi tape from Martha Stewert.  Also gold ribbon was from Stampin Up.

Final card.  Diecut the grad hat and tassel from gold and black cardstock.  Gold brad on hat to finish it off.  I also added a clear gel pen to the greeting to give it a little shine.  Popped it all out with some foam tape.

I tried to get the feel of the inspiration photo with the lines of the washi tape and color pallete.  Thanks for stopping by!

Three challenges in one..or two cards.

Hello, Hope you are having a great weekend.  I got some landscaping done before the rain moved in then a little baking this afternoon.  Stamping for tonight.  I started with the Playdate Cafe #128 Orange and Hot Pink challenge.  I used the CAS-Friday #49
challenge layout for the layout of the card.  Then finally I used the Papertrey MIM#62 challenge for the "Step-it-Up" challenge.
So this first card is a single layer with just stamping(die-cut window) and not layers.  The only extra was the little bit of bling in the star.  I always buy clear rhinestones and hit them with permanent markers to create the colors I need. To "step it up" I used a white base card and diecut the Framed Out #1 and #2 sets in Orange Zest and Raspberry Fizz inks.  The little flower was the heart border die cut from Raspberry Fizz felt and then I used just the rounded top portion to roll up and make the flower.  Leaves were some pins I found at JoAnn Fabrics and colored them with perm marker again.

This next pic just shows the layers.  Some of the diecuts
I used two layers of pop dots with to give extra height.

Well that's all for now.  Thanks so much for stopping by
Sentimentally Sue.

One card...Two ways take 2!

Hey there!  So one more set of cards for tonight.  I started with a card with one layer. All stamped in Orange Zest and Hawaiian Shores ink.  I used the Framed Out #1 and #2 sets to create the card.  I used the blue and orange from across the color wheel for the Opposites Attract challenge from CAS-Fridays.

The next card is for the PTI "Step It Up" challenge and the Embellish Magazine Chevron Color Trends challenge.

Same stamps just a different color way and some die cutting.
I had so much fun with this simple concept.

Thanks for stopping by and sweet dreams!

One Layout...Two Ways

Hello and Happy Tuesday to you.  Thanks for stopping by.  Tonight's card started with a Mojo sketch then morphed into a Step It Up challenge and lastly a color combo challenge.  The PTI Step It Up challenge was to take a simple card aka no layers and step it up with layers.  So the card below was my starting card.  Stamped with Beautiful Butterflies in Hibiscus Burst and Simply Chartreuse ink on white cardstock from Papertrey Ink.  Some simple scoring and a diecut window.
Same card but stepped up with glitter and layers of PTI cardstock in the same color way.  Popped up some die cut butterflies with foam tape and we are finished.

I used the Mojo Monday sketch and The CAS-Fridays color wheel challenge also.

That's all for now,
Sentimentally Sue.

MIM #61 Leaf Flowers, Embellish Magazine and Card Patterns #160

Hello and thanks for stopping by.  This card was made to cover 3 challenges.  I started with a PTI white base card and stamped the damask images in Hawaiian Shores ink.  Die cut the leaves from Rosie Posie out of Lovely Lilac Stampin Up cardstock.  Then stamped the leaves with a light blue Brillance ink.  Layer the leaves in a circle and added the rinestones to the center.  Die cut the white rectangle and stamped the leaves in Spring Moss ink.
I stamped the greeting in Brilliance ink with a PTI set.  Added more rinestones.  The ribbon is from SU ages ago.

There we go... one card three challenges.  Off for now,
Sentimentally Sue.

MIM #60 ...Graduated Stamping(2).

Hello again!  Still working with the graduated stamping.  I used Dark Chocolate, Terracotta Tile, White and Chartreuse inks on a Kraft base card.  Sets used were Rosie Poise and Movers and Shakers Sentiments.
I also die cut the tag with Tag Sale #6 from PTI out of Rustic White cardstock.  All supplies are from Papertrey Ink.

Sweet Dreams all!
