A Pair of Birds

Good evening! I was playing with a very old Papertrey Ink Round and Round set, a sketch and color challenge. I made two cards with the same stamp of the bird for the Twofer Challenge also.
My first card involved water color and heat embossing. The second one used ink blending.

This is also a remake of a card I made back in 2012 for the Tuesday Transformation.

Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

  1. That's a PTI set I missed somehow and I really like how self-contained the image is with the bird inside the circle! You've made a very colorful first card with the triple bird stamping, pretty watercoloring, and triple sentiment stamping! And your second card is very clean and crisp, Sue, and very striking with that bold border and sentiment treatment! The orchid color for your blending was a great choice! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #12! Hugs, Darnell

  2. These are both lovely, Sue ... the first with the soft watercolouring is dreamy and delicate ... and the sponged background on your sympathy card has a fabulous glow to it ... wonderfully CAS! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)

  3. That's a beautiful bird stamp which you've given two distinctly different looks. All spring-like and colorful on your thank you card with the white embossing and watercolor washes, and more sedate on your sympathy card. I like the border up the side and the perfectly sponged circle. It makes my heart feel good to see the older stamps getting some love. Thank you so much for playing along in our Twofer Birds Challenge with your two lovely cards!

  4. Beautiful twofer, Sue! I love how you mimicked the triple birds with the triple sentiment on your thank you card. Those ink blended colors are beautiful and, paired with the black, make a lovely sympathy card! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
