May Blog Hop @ PTI...take two!

Hello!  Hope you guys are having a great day with lots of inspiration on the hop.
I love the greens and white/black in the picture.  The contrast is so good
and gave me instant inspiration.
I started with PTI white cardstock cutting the rectangle window.  Stamped the greeting from Movers and Shakers Sentiments in Pallete Noir ink.

I used ribbons from Stampin Up, Hobby Lobby and Oriental Trading Company.

May Blog Hop #1

Here we go!  Love this picture.  So this was our inspiration for our card.
So I do not have a hydrangea stamp but I thought the little butterflies give the same effect.  I used Beautiful Butterflies and a Martha Stewart punch.  I used PTI white cardstock and Simply Chartreuse ink.

Finished it off with Think Big Greeting in Pallete Noir ink.  I did the close up of the card below so you could see the vellum punches.  I bent their wings to give dimension and to give the feeling of petals.

So that is all for now.  Be back later with one more card.  Thanks for stopping!

Raspberry Felt Flower

Hello.  A little more encouragement and a felt flower.  I love office supplies and school supplies.  I don't know why but I have felt this way since I was a little girl.  So for this card I got to use graph paper, tape, a file folder die and staples.  What more could a girl ask for?  So I started with Raspberry Fizz felt and the heart border die.  Took the hearts and glued them in a circle round and round.  Added a button to finish off the center.  I also used the edge piece to create the border on the bottom of the card.
Cardstock: PTI
Ink: PTI
Stamps: PTI
Extras: Ribbon(Walmart), Tape(Target), Staples(Tim Holtz)

Moxie Fab Gingham and MIM #66

Hi again.  One more card for tonight.  Moxie Fab blog issued a gingham challenge and the MIM challenge was to use border dies to create felt flowers. The gingham background paper is from Stampin Up.  Ink, cardstock, felt, border die and stamps are from Papertrey Ink.  Gems are from Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.  The fancy rectangle die is from Spellbinders.
This was a fun fold I saw someone use and thought I wanted to try it.

Make-it-Monday...felt flower from border dies.

Hello.  Happy Tuesday.  So the challenge is to create a felt flower from a border die.  I used the eyelet border die with Terracotta Tile felt.  Petals are the border and the center is the waste edge.  I used the Turning a New Leaf in Simply Chartreuse ink for the leaves. Greeting is from Flower Fusion stamped in Terracotta Tile ink.  Washi tape was picked up at Target.  Base card is Rustic Cream cardstock.

Have a great evening!

Embellish Bicycle Color Trends

Hey there!  Funny thing about this is Embellish Magazines last challenge was a washi tape challenge and I used a bike on my card here http://sentimentallysue.blogspot.com/2012/04/tape-color-trends.html and now it is a bike challenge.  Well I am getting a lot of use out of my new Hero Arts set.
Loved the fun bright colors.  All ink is Stampin Up, cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and stamps are Hero Arts. Oops, greeting is PTI.

Sweet Dreams All!

Striped Sunshine...MIM#65

So we are back because this challenge is all about not wanting to waste all those little pieces and I still had a chunk of the striped paper left over from the last project.
Again I used left overs from the Bitty Dot collection and cut one of the Limitless Layers circle out of a piece of PTI white cardstock.  Stamped the greeting from the Think Big Favorites #15 in Berry Sorbet and added Lemon Tart dots from Polka Dot Basics.  Then hand cut the rays with an exacto knife.
All layered onto a white base card.

Thanks for stopping by again and have a great evening!

Make-it-Monday on Friday!

Hello,  Hope you had a great week.  I did but it was super busy hence no posts.  The MIM #65 challenge was to use scraps of background paper to make a background.  I have a bunch of Bitty Dot paper scraps that I just can't throw away and I thought it would be fun to create a chevron pattern.  I cut the pieces down to 1/4 inch strips and glued them to a scrap of cardstock then cut the cardstock into 1/4 inch strips
at a 45 degree angle to create the chevron.
Cut the window with a 1 3/8 inch square punch.
Stamped my greeting from the Framed Out #3 set on PTI white cardstock
and popped it up with some foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by,

So I needed to get some graduation cards done...tiss the season.
Thought I might as well throw in one more color challenge card into the mix.

The card idea came from a card I saw on Pinterest from a blog called "eighteen25".

Moxie Fab and Retro Sketches

Hello.  So I was reading about how to get picked as a winner on the Moxie Fab Blog.  I tried really hard to cover my bases on this one.  I should have called this one "It's All in the Details" because I felt it has a lot of them.  Yet I wanted it to feel simple at the same time.  So the colors were keep to a minum...white, kraft and gold.

Stamps: Papertrey Ink
Ink: Colorbox
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink
Embossing Folder: ProvoCraft
Ribbon and Pearls: ??

Play Date...

Good morning!  Had to laugh at myself this AM.  I always talk about playing when I go in to stamp so how fitting I am having a Play Date Cafe challenge this morning.  So below was the color way and I wanted to have the focus on the white, fluffy flower.

Here is my card.  I die cut white tissue paper to create the flower and added an old brad that I had been hoarding forever to the center.  The rose ink I used is really reading red in the picture but it is rose in real life.  Smokey Shadow and Oceans Tide ink round out the trio.  French Script stamp is  from Stampin Up
and the vine and greeting are from Papertrey Ink.

I thought it also fit the Retro Sketches #9 challenge also.  I think the trio of vine and flower give the same feel and the horizontal lines of the greeting and
script fill in for the band and bow in the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by in your busy day!

Happy Birthday two!

Okay, final card from the crazy card lady for today.  Sorry I just start something like this and have to finish it.  So eight cards later all the Papertrey Make-it-Monday color ways have been covered.  This one surprised me.  I didn't think I would like it but it all came together very easily.
Stamp sets used were Rosie Posie and Giga Guidelines(greeting).  Rose was stamped in Sweet Blush then colored with Crayola colored pencils.

Also a Big Happy Birthday greeting for CAS-ual Fridays blog and
I will enter this in the CFC51 challenge.

Have a great Friday evening!
Sentimentally Sue.

Birthday Celebration

Hey there.  So second to the last card for the MIM #64 color challenge and a shout out to CAS-ual Fridays Birthday Celebration!  Below was my color palette and a birthday card was in order for CAS Fridays blog.
Funny after all these years of stamping and I am talking about over ten years.  I am just finding my style.  I love so many different styles but my heart is in the simple.  So with that said I used 2 stamps the stitching is so old I don't even know where it came from but the greeting is a Think Big Favorites from PTI.  Cardstock is basic white also PTI.

See you all later for one more color challenge,
Sentimentally Sue.

Playing with Frames

Hi ya!  So this would be color challenge number six at the Papertrey Make-it-Monday challenge.  When I looked at this color palette I thought fun, springy and whimsical.
For my card I started with PTI white cardstock and die cut the frame out.  Then stamped the Framed-Out 1 and 2 sets all over the card.  I also used the Green Thumb set to fill in some of the frames.  Popped up the front with some foam tape to give dimension and added the button and ribbon for a little detail.

Two more color ways to go...thanks for stopping by!

New Day, New MIM #64

Hello!  Happy Friday to you all.  Thanks for stopping by and viewing my quest for all eight challenge cards.  I won't lie to you some of these colors are just not grabbing me tight.  This was one of the ones that I had a hard time putting together.  So to soften the stamping up a bit I put cardstock weight vellum over the front of the card.

I started with a white PTI base card and die cut the "thanks" from the card and the vellum at the same time so it would line up perfectly.  The bars that are stamped across the card is from the Happy Day stamp set (PTI).  Smokey Shadow cardstock backed the window created by the die cutting.  Now if the card looks kind of familiar...
the idea came from the card below by Laura Bassen.
Loved her card with the bright fun washi tapes.

So off to stamp a while then better get some cleaning done.
Thanks again,
Sentimentally Sue.

Craft's Meow and MIM #64

Good evening!  Last one for tonight.  This was an very interesting color combo for me.
Cardstock is all PTI, stamps are from PTI, Hero Arts
and Martha Stewart and ink is PTI.

I liked the sketch and did stray a little.  Call it artistic licence.

Good night!

Retro Sketches #9 and MIM #64

So...this is the 3rd card in the MIM color challenge and my first
ever Retro Sketch challenge.
Simple one layer card on rustic cream cardstock.  Stamp sets used were Polka Dot Basics, Houndstooth Background and Flower Fusion #12 all from PTI.

The sketch was a fun one.

Thanks for stopping,
Sentimentally Sue.

Make-it-Monday and CASE Study

Hi again.  Just thought I would let you know right now that I would and will try to do all the color ways for the MIM #64 challenge this week.  Just wouldn't feel right if I left one out, would it?  So this is #2.
For my card I used a white cardstock base (PTI) and just went down the list of colors and stamped each with the Round & Round set.  I think this was a anniversary set from PTI.  I then used the Smokey Shadow die cuts I had left over from the last card to make the "happy".  Lastly I stamped the birthday from
Tag-Its #10 in Smokey Shadow ink.

The layout was from the card below by Agnieszka Malyszek for the CASE Study #89 challenge.  I just decided to try a white version of the layout.

Thanks again for dropping by for a look see,
Sentimentally Sue.
