Hey there! Today on the Altenew Card Blog there is a hop to celebrate Altenew's April release. If you are hopping along with us, you will have arrived from SkyPaperScissors.
So, let's get rolling on the cards I created. My first card has a Mid-Century vibe going on with the new Color Pop Hello die and Bold Sentiments also from Altenew.
I created the stripes by stamping a line image, then cut the die out in a vertical orientation on the stamped panel. This die is special in that the letters hinge and are not cut away. This creates a fun peek-a-boo feature. The greeting from Bold Sentiments was stamped and the panel was mounted to a top folding white card base.
My next card features the same Color Pop Hello die along with the new Sweet Bouquet stamp set. Using a white panel I stamped the floral image in dark gray ink, I then centered the die across the top and ran it through my die cut machine. Adding the vertical greeting also stamped in dark gray ink. To make the peek-a-boo feature of this die pop, I cut strips of cardstock to be showcased in the Hello window. Then I mounted the panel to a top folding, white card base with foam tape.
The Sweet Bouquet stamp set also has a great stencil and die set to coordinate with this versatile floral stamp set. I love the mix of greetings in this set. They go from larger sentiments, cursive words and block labels. I used the stamps and stencil on this card and two of the greeting styles.
The next two cards use the Chestnut Tree Layering die set and The Rolling Hills 3D embossing folder but that is where the similarities end. The first card has such a fall, earthy feel and the second is full of springs, soft colors.
