Woodgrain Floral

Hello, Just wanted to add one more idea to the Make-It-Monday layering dye and pigment ink.  I started with white cardstock, Woodgrain stamp and white pigment ink.  I let it dry and then stamped the flowers with dye ink.  I used the Happiness in Bloom set from Papertrey Ink. I will also enter this in The Card Concept "Clean & Graphic" floral challenge. Thanks for stopping by,

Masculine Shadow Stripe

Hello and Happy Friday to you!  Well we made it through ANOTHER blizzard last night.  I think we might make it to spring but I wish it would hurry up this cold and snow is getting to me.  I was thinking how mush I love my hubby this AM and thought it would be nice just to seek a card in his sock drawer to remind him.
This card uses the World's Greatest set from PTI, Cardstock from PTI and Stampin Up and ink from Stampin Up.  The technique is to stamp white pigment ink on white cardstock then stamp dye based ink over the top to create a shadow effect. I stamped the stripes from the Super Stripes set (PTI).  I wanted to enter this in the PTI Make-It-Monday challenge and the "Less is More" Masculine challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Card and Myself

I can not figure out how to post this unless I make a separate post for the PTI site so as stupid as I feel here is my pic with my Happy Birthday card.  The info for the card is in the last post.

Happy 7th Birthday PTI!

Today's cards will be birthday in theme.  The challenge over at Papertrey is to create a birthday card to celebrate with them their 7th anniversary/birthday.  My card is clean and simple with a bit of sparkle.  I also want to enter it in the Card Concept pink challenge.  I started with PTI white card stock and stamped the "happy" in Palette Noir ink.  Colored in the image with Crayola colored pencils then blended the colors with Undo sticker remover. Stamped the birthday form the Pretty Peonies set (PTI). There was a little smudge on the birthday so I added the 1/4" strip of Score-Tape and glittered it.  Mounted it all on a PTI white card base with foam dots. MR & MRS: Clean and Graphic

Hello, I wanted to try just one fun and crazy card for the day.  This might be my last one of the day.  I found a new challenge blog that looks like a lot of fun with some very respective designers. It is called The Card Concept. I like that they honor different style of stamping. So I made this card with that in mind and wanted to try a little twist on the drop shadow technique in the PTI blog. I think I am a Clean and Simple stamper at heart.  I started with PTI white card stock and stamped the mr and mrs in Pallette Noir ink.  The stamps are a very old Stampin Up set called Big Deal alphabet. I then die cut a heart from the Heart Prints dies(PTI) from white and Raspberry Fizz card stock.  Then took the white heart and re cut it with Grand Ampersand die. I popped the white heart a little to the left and layered it on the pink one with foam dots. Them mounted it on card front. Hope you all enjoy it. I know it was fun to make.
Thanks for stopping by, Sentimentally Sue.
I will also submit this card in the CAS-olgy "AND" challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday "Heart" challenge.  Thanks again!

Trading Card...Hello

Man I am really having some original titles today, huh? Not! I had not tried the drop shadow technique that is being used for the Make-It-Monday Challenge so I thought I would throw that in with a trading card.  So we will enter both challenges on Nicole's Blog with this one.  I had heard the other day people asking for a mint colored ink.  I had to laugh because a long time ago I was a Stampin Up demo and we had Mint Melody ink.  Now I never used it much and couldn't even sell it at a deep discount when I tried.  I still own the pad and it is more than ten years old.  Everything comes back around if you can wait long enough.
So the mint ink and card stock are from Stampin Up. The white card stock, die and Hello stamp set are Papertrey Ink.  Thanks for the visit, Sentimentally Sue.

Trading Card...Thanks

Hey there, me again. If you are wondering why things are being typed this way on my blog, I have been having trouble with Blogger not letting retype or move things around.  Wish I could get it figured out but for now just making due.  This is my fourth trading card for the Papertrey Ink 7th Anniversary challenge. I am trying to work in the Color/Sketch challenge too. This one will also be added to the "Less is More" single layer challenge. So I started with the color/sketch cards below and some PTI white card stock.  Stamped the greeting in Smoky Shadow ink and then used the other colors to make the flowers using the Mini Blooms set from PTI also.  Thanks for dropping by, Sentimentally Sue.

Trading Card...Take Note

Well this will be trading card #3 for Papertrey's 7th Anniversary Challenge.  I started with a Project Life journalling card from Becky Higgins.  I has a subtle grey color to it so I used Soft Stone card stock for the stamped arrow strip.  The arrows are from Sketched Shape stamp set from PTI. The greeting and paper clip are from Take Note stamp set. I will enter this in the Trading card challenge and the Color/Sketch challenges over on the blog Capture The Moment.  The first pic will be the color/sketch cards and the second will be my project. Hope you can drop by again, Sentimentally Sue.

Trading Card...Cute

Hi again.  This is the second post for today in honor of Papertrey's 7th Anniversary Challenges. This one also will be for the Trading Card and Color/Sketch Challenges. These are all taking place on Nicole Heady's blog, Capture the Moment. Come join the fun!
First pic will show the Color/Sketch cards and the second will be my project.
Thanks for stopping by, Sentimentally Sue.

Trading Card...Love

Happy Saturday to you!  Hope you have a little sunshine to brighten your day today.
As part of Papertrey's 7 year anniversary celebration they are having challenges.  Today's challenge was to make 3" by 4" trading cards.  They will slide in the page portecters of the new pocket scrapbooking trend.  I don't do a lot of scrapbooking right now so mine could also be used on a card front.  I also wanted to incorporate the Color/ Sketch Challenge that is going on too. The first photo will show the Color/Sketch cards and the second will show my project. Thanks for dropping by, Sentimentally Sue.

Cool Leaves

Good evening.  Another "7 Under 17 Minute" card.  I also used one of the Color/Sketch Challenge combos too. I started with the kraft cardstock and maked off a circle at the top. Rubbed aroung the edge with Aqua Mist ink to give a shadow and then I stamped the Lovely Leaves in Hawian Shores, New Leaf and Ripe Avacodo ink in the masked area. Lifted the mask and stamped one mote leaf in New Leaf ink and one in Aqua Mist ink. Stamped greeting and wrapped with linen thread. Quick and easy one layer card. First photo will show the color and sketch cards from Nicole Heady's blog and the last photo will show my project. Thanks for stopping by, Sentimentally Sue.

Sketched Circles

This is my go to set for stamps.  Sketched Shapes.  Simple but it gives so much impact.  I am going to enter this in 2 of Papertrey Inks challenges that they are running to celebrate 7 great years in business.  If you come to my blog at all on a regular basis you will know that they are also my go to company for stamps, dies, ink and card stock.  The first challenge is to grab 7 items or less and create a card in less than 17 minutes.  The other challenge is to you a sketch and color palette that was given to us to create a project.  The first photo will show the sketch/color challenge cards and the second photo is my 10 minute card project. Thank you for stopping by. Come again! Sentimentally Sue.

Rainbow Thanks

Again I want to thank you guys for even trying to read my posts.  This Blogger thing is really bugging me and I need to find a fix for it.  Incase you hadn't read earlier blogger will not let me correct my posts. So here is another card for the Papertrey 7th Anniversary Color/Sketch challenge. The first photo will be the color/sketch cards that I used and the last photo will be my card. If you go to Nicole Heady's blog "Capture the Moment" you can download a set of the cards for yourself.  I think these will be great reference tools when we need a boost or idea to start us off on a new project.
Hope you drop by again, Sentimentally Sue.

PTI Color/Sketch Challenge

Hi!  So I took a stap at another color/ sketch challenge.  My goal is to at least do the seven cards with the options provided.  I try to challenge my self by just grabbing one color card and one sketch card and trying to make it happen.  If you notice a lot of typos in my posts it is because blogger will not let me go back and fix them right now.  So everything is as it is typed. Now can all see my skill level or lack there of. The picture will include the color card and sketch card that I used for the project.
Thanks for stopping by, Sentimentally Sue.

Seven Supplies, Under 17 Minutes...

No problem.  Hello again!  So this card had a time challenge on it.  My seven supplies were the 5 inks, Sketched Shapes stamp set and PTI white card stock. I also wated to make it for the Color/Sketch Challenge going on at Nicole's Blog too. I guess for this is was to keep it simple.  I might have to try the time limit with the rest of the cards I make for the Day 1 Color/Sketch Challenge.
Included in the photo was the color card and sketch card.  Thanks for stopping by, Sentimentally Sue.

Ssooo...I messed up.

I was thinking that the PTI 7th aniversary digital images challenge ended today.  As I was gone all day yesterday I got up this AM and started playing with all the images.  Well after I mades 5 cards I went to the site to load things and realized the challenge closed at 7 AM.  So I will just share the cards with you for ideas.  I used the sketches that they at PTI had shared ealier in the week.
Hello by the way!
