C9 Inspiration Challenge

Good Friday morning to you! I know I have made a crazy amount of cards for the C9 challenge this month but I love their stamps and need to win the challenge to support my habit. Lol.
My card uses Stathmore bristol smooth and chocolate card stock. I blended the inks from PTI on the side of card base and then stamped the Hello Lovely floral image over it with chocolate ink. Stamped the greetings in Versamark and white heat embossed them. They were trimmed and mounted with foam tape to the front of the card. This card started with a single layer with the greeting stamped right on the card front but then I wanted to dress it up a bit. Both cards are shown on my Instagram feed.  Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CASology #314: Boy

Hello.  Well it is time for a new challenge on the CASology blog. Today's cue card is:
I ended up making three cards all with the same stamps and supplies. The card stock was 110 lbs white, various soft colors of card stock and the stamps are all from Papertrey Ink. Bitty Baby Blessings, Polka Dot Basics and Sentiment Staples: Welcome. The stamping was pretty straight forward with the onsies popped up with fun foam.

Now go check out the team's fabulous "boy" cards!

Watercolor Boxes

Hey there.  I was playing with a little water color this morning. I used Tim Holtz watercolor paper and Arteza Realbrush pens. Masked off my boxes with washi tape, wet the squares and blended the colors. The colors I used were from the CAS Colors and Sketches blog and the Sketch was from the Ellen Hutson September challenge.

So after I pulled the tape I added the Mondo Magnolia stamp heat embossed with Gold Tinsel embossing powder. The greeting is from The Stamp Market also heat embossed. So my bling for the SSS Wednesday challenge is the sparkly embossing powder. Everything is mounted to a 110 lbs white, top folding A2 note card.

CASology #313: Dress

Hello. Happy Tuesday to you! Todays card over at the CASology Challenge Blog is...

Sponsor:  STAMPlorations
My card started with a top folding, 110 lbs white card base. I stamped the dress from My Sentiments Exactly in Versafine black ink off the right side of the card. I then took a scrap of black card stock and die cut the "congrats" from My Favorite Things out of it. The black scrap was trimmed down to 4.25 by 1.75" and attached with Elmer's glue. I really liked the clean look of the black and white.

Now go check out all the great projects the
Design Team have created.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can
join us for the challenge, Sue.

Fall Leaves

Hey there. Tonight I wanted to try a new challenge. I have never entered the Twofer challenge. I wanted to play with the My Favorite Things color and sketch challenge and the Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #336 Faux Gilded Leaf challenge.
I used the Leaf Silhouette die from Papertrey Ink and the Essential Sentiments from My Favorite Things. I used the Arteza Realbrush pens on Tim Holtz watercolor paper.

There we go. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Create with Papertrey Ink

Hello. Hope you had a great weekend. We were gone camping this weekend. When I get home from mini vacations I just have to go play awhile with my stamps for a bit. I have never brought stuff with me but might need to do that in the future.
Our challenge was to take one of the PTI's designers projects and recreate it with your own supplies. I am using Stephanie Gold's tag below as my inspiration. Using Papertrey card stock and the Tag Sale #7 die set I cut the tag, stamped the greeting from Avery Elle and popped it up with foam tape on the card front. Added a little washi, eyelet and bakers twine as accents. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Also I will enter it in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge "pop it up".

2018 Superstar...

Happy Thursday to you! I wanted to try to be a Clean and Simple Superstar for My Favorite Things stamp company. But my mojo was on vacation and I am going away for the weekend. It was a one shot deal with all MFT products. Goodness, that was a list of excuses. So here we go...I tried my best. lol. My first card I made was fun but a little busy for the whole CAS thing.
Part of the rules state, that it has to be a all new design never before published. I used washi tape to cover card stock then die cut the Celebrate Speech Bubble out of it. Stamped the greeting from Essential Sentiments and mounted all to an A2, top folding white card base. This was not my entry.
Next up was this card that I used Beautiful Butterflies, also from MFT stamped in a masked circle. I used there cool, pastel colors slightly over-lapping the butterflies. I then removed the mask and stamped the large butterfly outside the circle. He is the only one that I added the second layer with Versafine black ink. I then added the black Nuvo drops to create movement, and the tiny black dots with a journaling marker. It really helped define the circle. I thought this was pretty simple, defiantly clean and one layer. Oh, the greeting is also from the Essential Sentiments from MFT stamped in Versafine ink also.
Well wish me luck!  Sue.

September Baby

Hey there. Just a quick card for a couple of  challenges tonight. I wanted to play with the Pinkfresh September inspiration photo and the My Favorite Things sketch challenge.
My card uses Tim Holtz watercolor paper. I inked up a solid rectangle image with four colors of ink, spritzed it with water and stamped. Let it dry then stamped the bunny from the Pinkfresh Little Love set in navy blue ink along with the MFT Essential Sentiments set. I loved the clean look of it. Simple one layer card.

Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CASology #213: Heal

Hello. Man, have I been struggling with my mojo. Just can't seem to get a card finished that I am happy with. I made two cards for the current challenge on the CASology Challenge blog. Our cue card is:

My first card used the My Favorite Things band aid die set. I started with 110 lbs white cardstock. Using the smaller band aid, I die cut the 3 windows. Also cutting the shape from the 3 colors of card stock to fill the windows. I stamped the greeting from Papertrey Ink in turquoise ink. Messed up the front of card so I stamped it on a scrap of white cardstock and popped it up with foam tape to cover the smeared greeting.

After my frustration with the first card I looked for some inspiration from some cards I had printed from the PTI blog. I pulled out the color card and thought that I was just going to use greetings for my card. I like to challenge myself sometimes. lol. Using the one stamp set from Papertrey I stamped out the greetings both vertical and horizonal. I did cheat a little with the stitched set to fill in.

So I am showing you that it is not all smooth sailing when creating. Hope you can come join us on the challenge this week. Now go check out all the other talented ladies cards.

Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Might be a Little Compulsive...

Hello! Happy Monday to you all.  I was commenting that we really shouldn't wish away all our days. I know we all groan when Monday comes but we need to remember our days are gifts. Right? I did a little creating over the weekend and posted to instagram but decide to share here too.
Most of my cards were based off of this sketch over on the AAA Cards Challenge blog.

The first 2 cards I also entered into the Less is More color challenge.

This one was entered into the Buzzworthy Rainbow Challenge and the Timeout #117 grateful challenge.
And finally this card was for the Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge. I did some color blending on a masked, top folding card of Strathmore Bristol card stock. Then removed the mask and stamped the Hello Lovely stamp from Concord and 9th over the blended circle. Then stamped the greeting from Papertrey Ink from the Scripted set.

This was my quick weekend update. If you have questions about sources or execution let me know. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CAS Greetings Repeat

Hello again. Working with a super simple color palette can be challenging and fun!
I started with a top folding white, 110 lbs card base and stamped the birthday from CAS Fridays Shenanigans set in Versafine black ink. Then positioned the rest of the greetings from the same set in my stamp positioner. Inked them with mint julep ink from PTI and stamped them down the front of the card. The "happy" was stamped on a scrap of white, trimmed down and mounted with foam tape. I added the washi tape and black Nuvo Drops to dress it up a little. This is for two color challenges.

Thanks so much for stopping by, Sue.

Glitter Inlay

Very good morning to you! I hadn't had much time to work on cards this week so in between loads of laundry today I am going to play a little. My first card today was a mish-mash of 3 different challenges but I still wanted to stay true to my CAS design. I started with the My Favorite things Color and Sketch Challenges then thru in the Papertrey Ink Make-it-Monday Challenge #334 of glitter inlay.

I will warn you this is a photo heavy post.
I started with a top folding, 110 lbs white card base. I die cut the banner die from PTI's Sketched Shapes set, doing partial die cutting. You can see my pencil lines that I measured out before cutting.

I forgot to take a picture of a panel of Strathmore Bristol card stock that I blended the ink colors on. I used PTI's Spring Rain, Classic Kraft, SU Ballet Blue and Altenew's Crimson inks. After blending I placed an Elizabeth Craft double sided adhesive over the panel and attached it to the inside on the card front.

Then I took glitter and rubbed it over the adhesive. I used one of the die cut banners to stamp my greeting from MFT's YAY For You set and attached it to the card front with foam tape to pop it up.

This also fits the CAS My Favorite Things Birthday Project Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by, Sue.
