Pretty Pink Embellishment!

Hello!  Hope your day went well.  The MIM #72 challenge was to make an embellishment and to step it up.  The CAS-Friday challenge was to use "pink".
I started with PTI white cardstock stamped two cupcakes from Inkadinkado stamp set in black Palette ink. Then trimmed the top icing and the cupake liner from one and punched the other one out with the 1 3/4" circle die from PTI.  Colored them with markers and shaded with colored pencils.  I used Doodlebug pink glitter for the frosting and a dew drop for the cherry.  I also used clear glaze on the white icing portion.  Layered it all up with foam tape.  I also die cut a pinked circle of red felt from Papertrey Ink.  Cardbase is PTI white again that I die cut a Spellbinders circle die.  Stamped the pink polka dots and greeting from PTI across the front of the card.

PTI June Blog Hop II

Okay, I decided to try one more time.  The photo below was the inspiration photo Nicole gave us to work with.  Aqua Mist, New Leaf and Lemon Tart was the color palette.
I used Honey Bee, Turning a New Leaf, Polka Dot Basics and Flower Fusion #12 as my stamp sets.  All stamped on a Papertrey white card base.  I really like to layer inks and have a good amount of white space.
Thank you for stopping by again!

June Blog Hop @ Papertrey Ink

Hello.  This is one of those deals that it looked sooo much better in my brain that it did when I finished it.  Sorry guys.  I seriously think my mojo or any ounce of talent God gave me has left the scene.  I started with Aqua Mist cardstock and stamped Turning a New Leaf in New Leaf ink.  Used Polka Dot Basics to stamp the circles and punched or cut out the centers.  Used some colored vellum, pleated it and attached it with Score Tape to the back of Aqua layer.  Used foam tape to pop up the layer over a Lemon Tart layer and then mounted it to a PTI white card base.
Die cut the Framed Out #4 from white and stamped the frame in Lemon Tart, greeting in New Leaf and little swirl in Aqua Mist.  Mounted with more foam tape to front of card.  Think I need to go practice a while.

Talk to you later and thank you for dropping by,

PDCC#137 and MIM #71

Hi again.  Guess I was feeling a little mojo coming back so I thought I better jump on it while it was still with me.  I started with the Pretty Peonies set and die from Papertrey Ink.  The blue layer is Brilliant Blue from Stampin Up.  So I die cut the flower in the blue and marked the inside corners of the die cut onto the PTI white card base with pencil.  Then stamped the flower and leaves with Versamark and heat embossed it with silver powder.  Colored in the leaves with a silver Sharpie.  Stamped the greeting also from PTI and heat embossed it too.  Masked the greeting and stamped the small peonies with Versamark ink.  Flipped over the blue layer and scored the lines. Mounted the blue layers over the white card base with foam dots.

The Play Date Cafe challenge was a color challenge used the silver in place of black(same color family) and the Make-it-Monday challenge was a bordered sentiment.

See ya later and thanks for dropping by,
Sentimentally Sue.

Shiny and Pink!

Happy Friday to everyone.  It is a beautiful day here in Iowa.  Today's challenge card was to be Clean and Simple, use pink, be shiny and use a bordered sentiment.  I think I got it covered.  I started with a Papertrey Ink white card base and silver heat embossed the Wish Big sentiment.  Then I scored the lines using the Martha Stewart score board.  The silver lines were made with a Sharpie.  To make the candle I rolled up some old Stampin Up paper in a tight tube and tied it with SU silver cord.  I had picked up the tinsel after Christmas at Hobby Lobby and I cut a small piece to add the flame.  Attached it with Score Tape.

That's all for now.  Thanks for stopping by!

CFC57...Clear as Day

Good evening!  So I needed a Thank You card this evening and I wanted to try a different size card.  This is a 5 by 7" card.  Started with kraft cardstock, next layer is Rustic Cream cardstock and then cardstock weight vellum.  Greeting is from Papertrey ink along with the Fine Linen ink.  The other inks are from Stampin Up.

So the challenge was to make a Clean and Simple card with vellum or acetate.

MIM #71...second try

Hey again.  So still not in the groove but closer than the last try. I will keep trying but not tonight.  My whole day has been like this.  Struggled at work with the bulletin, the art work and layout, so I should have known stamping would not work tonight.  I started with a Soft Stone base card.  Stamped the PTI greeting in Smokey Shadow ink.  Used two old Stampin Up colors with the doilies from Inkadinkado.  Lastly I used a Martha Stewart stamp in Soft Stone to make the littlest flowers and added the bling to the centers.

Sweet Dreams people!

MIM #71...bordered sentiments

Hello.  So this was my first attempt and I am not to sure about it.  I think it was the color combo that is not to my liking.  Red, Celery and Apricot.  I used the Pretty Peonies set and white cardstock from Papertrey Ink.  We were to stamp the greeting and mask it off then stamp over it.

I will go back and work on it.

Papertrey Ink MIM #70

Hello!  Hope you all had a great day.  I used The Craft's Meow June sketch challenge as my starting point then worked in the puffed fabric challenge from PTI.  For the PTI challenge we were to use diecuts and fabric to make an accent on our card.  I used Rustic Cream cardstock and die cut the Tag Sale #6 die.  Then stamped in Simply Chartreuse ink the Turning a New Leaf stamp set.  Die cut the flower and a few pieces of fun foam to layer underneath the fabric.
I then made a sandwich with the tag, fabric, fun foam and Spring Rain Bitty Dot paper.  Gluing it all together.  Stitched the end of the tag, added a few buttons and tied a ribbon through the hole in the tag. Layered it on a piece of Chocolate cardstock and a base card of Rustic Cream.  Added a little Tea Dye ink to give it some age.  The leaf pins are from JoAnn Fabrics.

Enjoy your evening,
Sentimentally Sue.

Holiday Spots!

Good evening.  So I think this might be my first Christmas card of the year.  I started with Rustic Cream cardstock from PTI and added the stripes of washi tape from Target.  Greeting was stamped with New Leaf ink with
one of the Think Big Favorites greetings.
I will be entering this in the CAS-UAL Fridays Sweet Spot challenge,

and the Papertrey Ink MIM #69 sketch challenge.

That's all for tonight!

Sweet Spot Challenge

Hi again!  What is not to love about Polka Dots?  They are a favorite of mine and that is one of the first Papertrey sets I bought.  So we started with PTI white cardstock and used the Spellbinders circles dies.  Stamped the Polka Dot Basics in Hawaiian Shores ink on all three layers.  The celebrate is from the Think Big Favorites #15 set.  Stamped it in Brilliant Blue from Stampin Up.  Popped it all up on foam dots and added the
 tan ribbon from Stampin Up.

I will enter this in the PTI MIM #69 sketch challenge,
The CAS-UAL Fridays Sweet Spot challenge and

the Play Date Cafe challenge #135.

Hope you have a great evening!

Hey There...

So I came home from a long weekend of camping, sporting a great sunburn and decided to do a little stamping.  This card is for three challenges.  I started with the Play Date Cafe colorway, then moved onto the Papertrey MIM #69 sketch challenge and rounded to out with the Less is More one layer flourish challenge.  I used a PTI kraft base card and used the Hawaiian Shores ink to stamp the flourishes.  Then moved on to the greeting from PTI Big &Bold Wishes stamped in Brilliant Blue ink from Stampin Up.  I thought it needed a little bling so I added
Gemstones from Paper Studio.
The colorway...

The sketch...

One layer, flourish challenge.
Thanks so much for dropping by,

MIM #69...final sketch

Hey there.  Okay, this the final sketch for the week.  Number six.  I started with a PTI kraft base card and added papers from Hobby Lobby (gingham and polkadots) and Crate Paper (floral).  The white and red cardstock are also PTI.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the eyelet border.  I used
New Leaf ink to stamp the greeting (PTI).

Off for the weekend!  Thank you for stopping by,
Sentimentally Sue.

One Ringy-Dingy...MIM #69

Hello!  So you might have to be a little more mature, like me, to remember a show called "Laugh In" and a certain operator that used to say "one ring-dingy...two ringy-dingy".  Or even a rotary phone with a cord or when the "police" were actually listed in the phone book with a local number.  But all of those were part of my inspiration for this card.  Color palette was Basic Black, Hawaiian Shores and Raspberry Fizz.  I used the fun new phone set and Polka-Dot Basics from Papertrey Ink.

Twine is from Doodlebug and circle dies are from Spellbinders.  The picture below was to show that I popped up the center to give dimension.

I tried to use the pink dots to be my horizontal element across the card.

Okay one more sketch to go but this is one of my favorite cards yet.
Thanks for stopping by,

Sketch #4... three challenges.

Hi again!  I am down to 2 sketches left for the week.  This card started with a color pallete from The Play Date Cafe and A PTI Classic Kraft base card.
Then came the sketch from Papertrey Ink.
Which brings us to my card.  I love it when I can take a card and layer the ink to create depth.  So I used Sweet Blush, Harvest Gold, Berry Sorbet and white ink.  Stamp sets are Rosie Posie and Big & Bold Greetings.
So I took the card one step further and added the bling for the Cas-ual Fridays Blog.  Which was to take a clean and simple card and add some bling. Bling in my case was the pearls from Hobby Lobby.

So there you go for tonight!  Thanks again for stopping by.
I love to hear your comments.

MIM #69...sketch #3.

Hello!  Hope you had a wonderful Tuesday.  It was a beautiful day here in the midwest.  I love this new little phone stamp from PTI.  I started with Rustic white cardstock for the card base.  Then used some My Minds Eye paper from the Lost And Found collection to make the folded back layer.  Fun sketch!

I used a little grey floss for the phone cord.  I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp anything goes challenge.  The designers used twine in their cards and I am using floss.  Thanks for dropping by to check it out.

MIM #69...sketch #2.

So one more quick card for tonight.  I scored vertical lines on the bottom half of the card at 1/2" intervals on PTI white cardstock.  Used the Happy die from the Pretty Peonies die set to create the greeting.  I used washi tape for the happy patterned die cut.  Taken with Teal cardstock and ink is from Stampin Up.
Ribbon and buttons were from Hobby Lobby.
