Sending Kindness

Hello and happy summer to you! I have been working on so many blog posts for the coming months behind the scenes. So much CAS fun to come. Today's card was so fun to put together with three different company's stamps.

Altenew: Indoor Garden

Wplus 9: No One Else

Ellen Hutson: Stay Cool

I wanted to combine the three challenges below to create my CAS card. I did a little heat embossing on the black images to add a little punch. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CAS Colours and Sketches #476

Hello. This is my fourth and final post for CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge. We have a slimline sketch challenge. Now I struggle with slimline card so this was truly a challenge for me also. LOL!

I created a mini slimline card. I started with a white panel that was 3" by 6" and stamped the greeting from Concord and 9th's Heart Felt Smile set in black ink. I then stamped the three hearts added some glossy accents to the coral heart. I then popped the panel up on a black card base.

I have really enjoyed my time designing with the fabulous CAS Team. Thanks for playing along with us this month! Sue.

AAA Cards Challenge #218

Hey there! The AAA Cards Challenge has my very favorite kind of challenge up today...a sketch.

I chose to make a no-layer card with some simple ink layering. I used the Bokeh Dots set from Ellen Hutson to create my colored dots. Then using the Sweet Kindness set from Stamplorations, I stamped the floral image and greeting in black ink.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join us for the sketch challenge. Sue

CAS Colours and Sketches #475

Hey there. There is a new challenge up on the CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge today. I have been asked to guest design this month so here we go with a fun color challenge.

My card started with a white panel that I masked off an inch on the right side. After I blended the challenge colors I used the Onions in the Raw stencil from Stamplorations to create some depth with the same ink colors. Then I lined up my greetings and candle images on my stamp platform and stamped in black ink. Greetings are from CAS Friday's Shenanigans set and candle is from Stamplorations Kathryn's Big Wish set. The panel was trimmed and mounted to card base with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Altenew June Inspiration Challenge

Happy summer to you! We finally feel like it is summer here in Iowa. Warm temps and SUNSHINE .

Today I am playing along with the Altenew June Inspiration Challenge.

My card started with a natural ivory panel that I did a bit of ink blending on then dry embossed the stitched frame rectangles from My Favorite Things. I then used a panel that I had done some water coloring on to cut out the layers of the Fantasy Floral die from. The leaves were cut from olive cardstock and ink blended. After attaching it to the blended panel I splattered some metalic gold watercolor paint over images. Using the new Bold Sentiment set I heat embossed two of the greetings with WOW gold detail powder, trimmed and popped up with cardstock scraps. Final touch was to add some Ranger liquid pearls.

This is one more made with the same products for the challenge.

Simon has a "frame it" and "add a sentiment" challenge this week also. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CAS Colours and Sketches #474

Hello. I am guest designing on the CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge again this week. You know a sketch challenge is my favorite kind of challenge!

My card uses a neutral palette of black, kraft and white to create a manly card. I used the Noble Deer set from Stampin' Up! and the Birthday Essential set from Newton's Nook to stamp my images and greeting. After cutting the hexagon shape I popped the white and black panels up with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

AAA Cards Challenge #217

We are back on the AAA Cards blog today with a new challenge. Divide your card front in nine rectangle sections and fill one of them with a butterflies.

I started by masking the area of the card and did some soft ink blending. I then stamped my butterflies from Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Butterflies set. I got the two-tone effect by using my stamp platform overlapping the ink colors. Also the fun part of using clear stamps is you can bend them to create curves like I did with the greeting. The greeting is heat embossed in gold detail powder from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words set. Adding a few gold drops as a accent.

CAS Colours and Sketches #473

Hey there. I have the honor of being a guest designer over on the CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge this month.

This is a color challenge and it had a floral vibe for me. My card uses the Just Plaid stencil from Stamplorations and the Altenew, Lavender Bud stamp set.

I used simple ink layering with the stenciling first, stamping the flower and heat embossing the greeting over the top. I added a couple of holes and some green embroidery floss. Tada, simple no-layer card. I hope you will be inspired to join us in the color challenge.

Thank you for stopping by, Sue.
