It's DieCember at Simon Says Stamp!

Hey there! Simon Says Stamp has a super new release of dies for their special "DieCember" release and they kindly asked me to help with the party. I got to play with the Whirl Bay Leaf die.

One trick I found helpful with this intricate die was to pop out the stem first from the release hole on the die. Then pushing my poke tool along the stem and leaf veins to separate the die cut from the die. Lifting the leaves as I went.

As you can see, I had a great time working with this very, versatile die.

One final project is a bit of wall art.

  1. WOW - JUST WOW !!! You clearly were having a great time with the Whirl Bay Leaves die and it shows. I was really drawn to many of your wonderful cards. For a few the Congrats card, the Sympathy card, the Thinking of You, Just Because, Sending Happy Thoughts . . I could go on but I think you'll get the point that I think your cards were fabulous. GREAT JOB & Thank You SO Much for sharing your work and creativity. Now I'm on the hunt to find & see more of your work.

  2. Thank you so much! It is also my favorite. I love to ink blend and Susan Opal had suggested to try some inlay a while ago. So that is how the idea came to be. I think there is a lot on mileage in this die.
