CASology #389: Dear

Hello. Hoping spring has made it to your corners of the world by now. In Iowa we are usually safe from that winter blast by now. Lol. We have a new challenge up on the CASology Challenge Blog this morning.

I don't have a lot of dear stamps in my collection but I did have this Dearest Friend stamp from Scripted by Papertrey Ink. I combined it with a Simon Says Stamp set, Sending Happy Thoughts. By keeping my envelope images tightly clustered to corner and by overlapping the greeting left plenty of white space. I heat embossed the greeting to help them pop out.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you will join the team and make your own "Dear" card.

Trifecta Cardmaking with Sue

Hey there.  I am up on the Stamplorations' Blog today with a cardmaking Trifecta. Three cards using stamps, stencils and clear stickers. This concept is always a challenge for me with my CAS heart. Lol. But I love a great challenge! My goal for these posts is to vary the way in which I use these products.

Using a white panel I stamped the Big Robot and the greetings in black ink then colored him with alcohol markers. Creating a mask I covered the robot and stenciled the green Arrow Which Way over the top. I added a die cut heart, rounded the corners and added some Stickles. Using a green card base I added two Newspaper Background Bits #1 stickers to the left edge. After rounding the corners of the green card base I mounted the stamped panel to the card base with foam tape.

The next card uses the Big Robots again stamped on a white panel with black ink and colored with alcohol markers. I masked the robot and blended light gray ink with the Placid Stencil over the top. I then die cut a heart from the Newspaper Background Bits #1 sticker and colored it red with a alcohol marker. After placing the sticker down I used glossy accents over the top of the sticker. Finally I trimmed the panel and added to a red card base.

I started with the robot stamped in black ink and colored him with alcohol markers. Then repeat stamped the greeting in light blue ink staggering off the side of the white panel. I then covered the robot with glossy accents and put aside to dry. Using a royal blue card base and matching ink, I stenciled the Arrow Which Way across the base of the card. Then mounting the Inspirational 2 clear sticker on yellow card stock and trimming it into a sentiment strip. Then taking the robot panel, trimming it down and adding a yellow strip of card stock the panel was attached to the stenciled card front.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join me next month to check out the next addition of Trifecta Cardmaking.

CASology #388: Hello

Hey there. Hope all is well in your world. We have been healthy at our home. We have a new challenge up on the CASology Challenge Blog this morning. Our new cue card is...

This should be a simple cue for most of us.  I dug out a old Papertrey Ink set, Heart 2 Heart #4. I started by stamping the telephone image in 3 colors of ink on a white panel then took most of the greetings from the set and stamped them on sentiment strips mounting them to the panel with foam tape. The cord was drawn by hand and I added clear Nuvo drops to the heart. Finally mounted the panel to a coral A2 card base.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join us for this fun Challenge.
