It's DieCember at Simon Says Stamp!

 Hey there! Simon Says Stamp has a super new release of dies for their special "DieCember" release and they kindly asked me to help with the party. I got to play with the Whirl Bay Leaf die.

One trick I found helpful with this intricate die was to pop out the stem first from the release hole on the die. Then pushing my poke tool along the stem and leaf veins to separate the die cut from the die. Lifting the leaves as I went.

As you can see, I had a great time working with this very, versatile die.

 

One final project is a bit of wall art.

      

Sending You Sweet Wishes

 Hey you, 

I am joining up with Simon Says Stamps "Sweet Wishes" release today. I played with the Polar Christmas set. It is a big six by eight set with the cutest penguins doing all kinds of winter activities. There are three penguin images that I didn't even use. The penguins and stockings are colored with alcohol markers with a dose of Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents. I fussy cut my images.

This next card also used the Simon Says Stamp Geo Flower Builder set to create my waves in the water.

To create the colored presents, I flipped the line image of the present over and used the back of the stamp to color my images with ink.

My final card also used the Papertrey Ink Smooth Alphabet and Numbers dies. The penguin also got a fluffy, white 

pom-pom for his hat.

AAA Cards Challenge #253

 Hello and hope you are ready for a peek at fall with our new challenge on the AAA Cards blog.

I don't know why but that photo in the bottom right corner just spoke to me.  I had purchased some alcohol inks for the first time that week. Must have been a match made in heaven. lol.

I have played a little using alcohol markers but this was my first time to try regular alcohol ink bottles. I used a piece of photo paper and a straw to create my panel. I then die cut the Leaf Silhouette from Papertrey Ink. I curved the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp, Greeting Mix 1 set and stamped it on olive ink to echo the leave shape.

AAA Cards Challenge #240

 Hello. Today is a special day on the AAA Card Challenge. We are celebrating our 9th birthday and hope you will join us for our "PINK" birthday celebration.

I started by stamping the Altenew Mini Cupcake to create my cupcake with fluffy, pink frosting. I die cut the cupcake three times to create some depth to my card. I then took my top folding white card base and stamping the wave and dotted square from the Ellen Hutson Stay Cool set. The happy birthday greeting is from the Tiny Words set from Simon Says Stamp. I added a few small stars to give my card some sparkle.

This is such a simple card with ink layering as my technique. I hope you will join our 9th birthday celebration challenge.

AAA Cards Challenge #239

 Hello. Are you feeling HOT or COLD today? We have a new challenge up for you on the AAA Cards Challenge for you to show us where you are at today.

I love to play with pinks and oranges together. So I started by stamping the Captivating Blooms by Altenew in black ink and using the coordinating stencil to color it.  I added some white gel pen accents and clear Nuvo drops to the flower centers. When the drops set-up I added the greeting from Clean-line Everyday by Simon Says Stamp and mounted my panel to a top folding card base with foam tape.
