 Here we are at the end of the year. I have a simple Christmas card for you today that fits the new AAA Cards Challenge. I wanted to play with some untraditional colors for Christmas.

Altenew November Blog Hop and Giveaway

Altenew has a new release for November that has some fabulous new products.  Today I am a part of the blog hop to share these new items. I created two cards with the new Fresh Flowers die set that are total opposites. One with bold colors featuring the new Crafty Necessities cardstock and the other with my signature clean and simple design. 

My first card used the beautiful colors of cardstock: Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Dew Drops and Galactic Stream. I added a bit of shading on the largest flowers and some dots with the new alcohol markers from the Cottage 

garden set.

I also used the Scripty Sentiments die set to create my greeting. My second card used just white cardstock with some simple ink blending to make my die cuts pop from the Fresh Flowers die set.

I had this ink blended panel on my desk from another card and an idea was born. Using the Grid Cover die I had stenciled this panel and embossed the Autumn Blaze card front. Then using the Fresh Flowers die set and the Scripty Sentiments to create the white panel.

My final card used three of the new colors of the Crafty Necessities cardstock. Sunkissed, Pink Diamond and Rubellite. I cut strips of cardstock held spaced out with making tape then die cut with a hex die and popped up with foam tape. I used the Natures Splashes die set to create the white branch and the Scripty Sentiments for the greeting.

Here are a few more projects that I made with the new 

Crafty Necessities cardstock and several Monthly Card Kits. The first two cards use the new Craft-a-Flower: Coreopis.

These four cards use the Craft-Your- Life: Wings & Petals kit.

Simon Says Stamp Festive Fun Release

 Hey all! We are celebrating Simon Says Stamps Festive Fun release. I got the opportunity to play with the fun, new Snow Buddies stamp set. This set gave me the chance to work on my coloring skills, that do need work. lol. 

On my fist card I stamped the cute fox and colored with alcohol markers, fussy cut him out and mounted with foam tape to a green panel that I had embossed with the Concord and 9th Tree Lot Inlay die. The greetings came from the same Snow Buddies set.

Next up I stamped the owl image, colored with alcohol markers, fussy cut and mounted to a white card base that I embossed with the Spellbinders Beveled Diamonds folder.

I used Glaze pen to accent the eyes and berries.

This little fawn is so sweet with his birdie friend. He was also colored with alcohol markers and a white gel pen. I also used the My Favorite Things Mod & Merry set on the card base.

This next card stole my heart with this cute polar bear that I colored with alcohol markers.

My last card was a tribute to my clean and simple design. I heat embossed the fawn again with just a bit of shading with only two colors of alcohol markers.

Altenew November Monthly Kits

 

I got a chance to play with a couple of the new monthly kits. First up is the Craft Your Life: Wings & Petals Kit. This kit has so much mileage with so many different looks.

The next card uses the new alcohol markers

The embossing folder and stencil make beautiful cards.

The new set of cards uses the new Stencil Art: Natures Splashes Stencil set.

I used the Cottage Garden Alcohol Marker Set to color the butterfly and leaves.

The next set of cards is using the Build-A-Flower: Coreopsis and the Crafty Necessities cardstock bundle.
