Celebrate Banner

Hello.  So I had this idea for a reverse banner in my head.  Just had to let it come out and the card below is what I got.  I started with a 4 by 5.25" piece of Papertrey white cardstock.  I die cut the flags from a Sizzix/Hero Arts die across the top of the cardstock.  Punched a 1/16 hole at each end of the banner and threaded some bakers twine through the flags and holes.  Tied knots on the ends.  Stamped the Celebrate from PTI Think Big Favorites in Raspberry Fizz ink and backed the flags with foam tape.  Cut a 3 by 5" piece of background paper (pink stripe) from Stampin Up. Attached it to a A2 white card from PTI and then put on the die cut layer.
I am going to enter this in the CAS-Fridays CFC67 challenge, Simon Says Stamp focus on  Hero Arts challenge  and Papertrey Inks Make-it-Monday challenge #80.

Fall Fabrics!

Hello.  So I thought that I would take one more stab at the challenge.  I used an old men's wool jacket that I felted to fill in the die cut.
Started with PTI white card stock and die cut the Blessed.  Layered the wool fabric on the back and glued in the ceters of the letters.  Stamped the greeting in Dark Chocolate ink and layered all on a white card base.

PTI August Blog Hop & MIM #79

Hey there!  Welcome to the PTI August Blog Hop. The photo below was our inspiration photo.  It was all about Autumn Textiles.  The tag I made used the herringbone and burlap.

I die cut a Rustic Cream cardstock tag sale die and stamped a herringbone background with the Text Style stamp in Fine Linen ink.  Inking the edges with Tea Dye Duo.  Greeting is from the new Think Big Favorites stamped in Ocean Tide ink.  Leaves are cut from burlap and glued under a pine cone flower I made.  Ocean Tides button and ribbon also used.
Close-up was to try to show the herringbone pattern.

Thanks for stopping by.  This should also fit the Make-It-Monday challenge of using fabric(burlap) on a project.  Please come again!

On the Go!

Hello again.  Okay, this will be the last one for the night.  I am loving this color combo and never I thought to put these together but it is very good! Great job Play Date Cafe!
The Hero Arts Sketch challenge for August brought on the layout and Play Date Cafe introduced the colorway.
Stamps are all Hero Arts and ink is from Stampin Up.

I really do appreciate you stopping by to look and the nice words of encouragement!
Thank you!

Making a Focal Point

Happy Monday!  It is a beautiful day.  Today's card was to have a strong focal point  and Tuesday Trigger for the Moxie Fab challenge.  Then a great colorway with the Playdate Cafe #145 challenge.  Throw in the Less is More tearing challenge with lots of white space.  Finally the Craft's Meow August sketch challenge.  So below is my card.
I started with a piece of watercolor paper and wet it down, stamped the Martha Stewart doilies stamps with Stampin Up die ink.  I wanted to have that soft bleed.  Stamped the greeting from SU, tore the bottom and watercolored the edge.  The ribbon is from SU and the brad is unknown scorce. Mounted on a Soft Stone base
card from Papertrey Ink.

MIM #78...Stitched Die Cuts.

Hello.  Hope you had a great weekend.  We were out camping again.  So this is my first stab at the challenge this week.  It is one of those cards that looked better in my head. I started with the Merry die cut and then used the candy cane to punch my holes and stitched with red bakers twine.  All supplies were from Papertrey Ink.  Rustic White, Simply Chartreuse and Pure Poppy cardstocks.

Thats all for now.  Sweet dreams!

Hello Sunshine!

Hey there!  Beautiful sunshine and cooler weather here in the mid-west today.  Love it. So this card was a challenge for me on many levels but you know how I love a challenge.  I have a hard time watercoloring.  I even took a class once and bombed.  The other thing is glitter. It is messy and I don't like messy.  But the bingo card over at Simon Says blog said diecuts, free and glitter.  So here we go...
I started with a Papertrey Ink kraft base in a 4.25 by 4.25" square card (CAS-Fridays Challenge #65).  Then stamped music in Palette Noir ink with a stamp from Nina B.  Die cut some flowers and leaves from a old hymnal and stamped and watercolored them with dies and stamps from PTI "Friends Till the End" set.  I used the PlayDate Cafe challenge colorway and dye based inks from Stampin Up.  Mounted my flower and leaves to a 3.75" square of kraft cardstock and popped it up with foam dots.  Stamped the greeting strip with Palette ink and a PTI greeting.  Added Score-Tape and glitter to the greeting.

The Make-it-Monday challenge #77 was to use dye based pads to watercolor an image.
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out!

Washed Batik

Hello.  Three nights of stamping in a row...wow.  The new Playdate Cafe challenge was up so I thought I would take a stab at it.  These are some of my favorite bright and cheery colors.  Love it!
As the title says I was going for that fabric, washed batik look.  I started with Guidelines 2 cardstock and the Giga Guidelines stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  I stamped the images with Stampin Up dye based ink.  Then Took a waterbrush and swept it back and forth across the images to get the washed out look to it.  The challenge a PTI's Make-it-Monday was to use your ink pads to watercolor so I think this fits too.  Thanks for stopping by!

See you soon,

Runway Inspired

Hey there.  The beautiful lady and dress below was my inspiration for this card.
it is from the Runway #17 challenge.
So for my card I stamped the floral image in Pallette Noir ink on white cardstock all from Papertrey Ink.  Watercolored the flower and leaves with dye based ink from Stampin Up.  Stamped my greeting on vellum and attached it with Score Tape.  Glittered the strip.  The challenge at the PTI Make-it-Monday was to watercolor with ink pads so this will fit there too.

Thanks for stopping by again!

Out Riding

Hello.  Halfway into the week and two evenings of stamping.  Must be a great week.
I am going to enter this card in two challenges tonight.  I have never done the Hero Arts blog challenge and thought it might be fun to try it. I am going for the sketch challenge August2012A.  I am also going to enter it in the "Blue & Green" challenge over on the Less is More blog.

Top right sketch is the one I went for.  I scored vertical lines in the background that are kind-of hard to see.

Cardstock is from Papertrey Ink, stamps are from Hero Arts and ink is from Stampin Up.  Dies are Hero Arts and Spellbinders.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Sentimentally Sue.

Challenge "4" you!

Hello.  Long time no blog, huh?  Sorry about that we have been gone on the weekends camping.  The card below was first a challenge to show our style(CASE Study Blog Challenge).  I would describe my style as Clean and Simple.  And I love to work a good challenge into everything I do.  Can't resist it.
So the card also is for the PlayDate color challenge #143(2).

Then the CAS-ual Friday challenge #64, On Cloud 9.  Where we were to make a project with things we see in the sky(3).

And finally the Make-it-Monday #77 challenge water coloring with ink pads(4).

So four challenges in one card that is my style. hahaha
Used Papertrey Ink white cardstock and red mini dot background paper.  Ocean Tides and Aqua Mist ink to watercolor. White Filigree detail powder to emboss the clouds and the twine is also from PTI.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
