MIM #51...take three.

Okay, first I have to say that I "LOVE" Papertrey Ink stamps.  I can never order all I want so I enter all of their challenges to try to win some stamps free.  So far I have not won but I will keep trying.  Second,  I have to say I am a very competitive person.  So I have a hard time resisting a challenge.  This banner one I didn't think grabbed me at first but I must have been wrong because this is my third card.  I used old hymnal music for my banner to wrap the tag.
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink
Ink: Tea Dye Duo and Poppy(PTI)
Stamps: Papertrey Ink
Extras: Twine(PTI), Heart Eyelet(SU)

I am going to enter this card in the Shabby Tea Room #99 challenge also.  The theme was "Love is in the Air" and the photo below was the inspiration.  Every time I think I am done making Valentines another one comes along.

Okay, I am done for real this time.  Good night,

Challenges, challenges....

Hey there.  So when you see this card do you have any idea what the challenge could be????  I don't think I would put these colors together for any other reason unless I was going to make a card for someone at the Univ. of Northern Iowa.  We were to create a card the made us think of a movie(CAS-ual Friday) or a book(Passion for Papertrey).  I did read the book before I went to the movie and enjoyed them both.  I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp "Animal Antics" challenge.  Butterflies are about as close as I get to animals in my stamp collection.
Cardstock: White and Background Paper(PTI), Purple(SU)
Ink: Tea Dye Duo(PTI), Versamark
Stamps: Papertrey Ink
Extras: Die(PTI), Butterfly Punch(Martha), Embossing Powder(SU)

I included a picture of the book incase you hadn't seen it.

Okay I think I am done for tonight.  Have a great weekend!

Tuesday Trigger and Mojo Monday#226

Happy Friday to all of you!  First I want to thank everyone for their kind words.  They really do mean a lot and really boost my spirits.  Thank you!
Wait till you see the Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab( pic below).  The petit fours are beautiful.  I don't think I have ever had one but they always look so dainty and fancy.  My card is not as fancy but I tried to include the colors, lacy doily and the layering effect.  I also tried to use the Mojo Monday layout.
Cardstock: Stampin Up, Background Paper(BasicGrey)
Ink: Stampin Up
Stamps: Stampin Up
Extras: Dies(PTI), Ribbon(Pebbles Inc)

MIM #51 take two!

Okay, I said I had one more idea for the banner challenge so here we go.  If anyone tells you that all clear stamps are the same they are wrong.  Boy, Papertrey Inks stamps are so nice to stamp with that you forget until you use another brand.  It is hard to see but the Spring Rain layer of cardstock has clouds stamped in white ink on it.  The airplane was stamped with black ink and colored with Crayola colored pencils then covered with Plaid Royal Coat Dimensional Magic.
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink, Background Paper(PTI)
Ink: Papertrey Ink
Stamps: Airplane and Cloud(Imaginisce), Greetings(SU)

This picture was to show you the dimension of the banner.  Have a great evening!

MIM #51 and Shabby Tea Room #99

Hey there!  I keep thinking I am done making Valentine cards then another ideas springs up.  Have you guys seen the Spellbinders postage dies?  I have wanted them but since I have not bought them.  I always try to figure out how I can get the same look without buying the item(can't buy all of them).  I took a 4.25 by 4.25 card and marked around the edges then used my half inch circle punch and punched half of the circle out.  I made a mark at two and a eighth inches then and inch on either side of that.  The card was for the Papertrey Ink challenge of a dimensional banner and the Shabby Tea Room "Love is in the Air" challenge(pic below).
Cardstock: White and Fine Linen(PTI), Background Paper(PTI)
Ink: Papertrey Ink(Tea Dye and Poppy)
Stamps: Heart Prints (PTI)
Extras: Ribbon(SU), Heart Pins(JoAnns), Punch(SU)

I love the picture above.  Just such a cute little table setting.  I have one more idea for the banner challenge but we will see if it gets done.

Mojo Monday #226 Sketch

Yep.  Still playing with the spring like colors and BasicGrey papers.  I had to laugh when I saw the sketch for this week.  The last card I have on this post was one I made last week for another sketch challenge.  It was almost identical to the Mojo sketch.  This card I tried to have an office supply theme with the torn notebook edge, staple and the graph paper that the greeting is stamped on.  The stamps are an old Stampin Up set I had back when I was a demo.  Well I am not going to leave a recipe because I have told you everything in my post.  If you have questions just ask.

The recipe for the round card is on a post from 1/27/2012.  I want to hit one more challenge yet today so we will see you later,

CardPatterns #150 Sketch....Howdy!

Hope all is every little thing is great with all of you.  I know that can't be true but I feel we have to go in with a positive attitude or we will be bummed all the time.  So lecture done for today we will get to the card.  I was inspired by our unseasonably warm weather and was thinking of spring and fun bright colors. The sketch was great to work with and made me dig out some BasicGrey paper I hadn't worked with for a long time.
Cardstock: Regal Rose(SU), Background paper(BasicGrey)
Ink: Black(PTI), Saffron(SU)
Stamps: HoneyBees(PTI)
Extras: Ribbon(OTC), Button(PTI), Border Punch(Martha), Brads(SU)

Well better get to stamping.  Sorry I didn't post for a few days.  I have been on a serious reading kick. TTYL
