CASology #346: Ring

Hey all. Hoping your week is off to a great start. We have a new challenge up on the CASology Challenge Blog this morning.

Sponsor:  STAMPlorations

My card uses both shimmer white and gold cardstock today. I die cut the rings from the gold and the card base is white Shimmer that I stenciled the gold rays on. The greeting is from Papertrey Ink and is stamped in Versafine black ink. The light stenciling draws the eye in still leaving plenty of white space.

The team has some fun cards to share with you so go check them out! Thanks so much for stopping by, Sue.

Time Out for Nature

Hey there! Happy Wednesday to you. I am at bible school this week and am pretty much whooped. Three hours with 80 children takes a lot out of you. Todays card is from a great small company of Uniko. I received this set as a prize over a year ago and love to use it. Today it is a one layer card with great shading built in the layering of the flower.
This fit the Time Out challenge for a nature card with a one-layer twist.
My next card fit the Uniko Anything Goes/Masculine, the Less is More color challenge and the Addicted to CAS challenge of Father. It uses the Worlds Greatest set from PTI. I added white accents on the ties with a white gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CASology #345: Calm

Good morning to you!  There is a new challenge cue up on the CASology Challenge blog this morning.

This will be my first Christmas card of many as we get closer to the Christmas season. I chose a single layer card with a heavy weight white card base. Stamping the star background from the Essentials by Ellen set Wonky Backdrops with a rock and roll inking technique. Then stamping the tree from The Stamp Market Tiny Trees and Hello Bluebird's Typed Christmas in GinaK Amalgam ink. I love the way the two colors of ink blended in the background. I am sure the team has some fabulous cards to share with you so go check them out!

Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Rainbow Birthday Wishes

Hey there! I saw a challenging sketch over on the CAS(E) This Sketch blog and my mind was flying through ideas. So I put one of those into action.

This die set Rainbow Wishes from Honey Bee Stamps is so fun to play with. I love that you get frame clouds from the die cut.  I filled the clouds with vellum and brushed on a little Wink of Stella to give them sparkle. The card hopefully fills the sketch, is a birthday card to celebrate AAA Cards 5th birthday, and Simon Says Stamps and Unikos Anything Goes challenges. This card also shows one of my favorite techniques that showcases sentiments by using both vertical and horizonal sentiments together. This is the challenge at the Ink to Paper blog, Framing our Sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Full Circle Grad Card

Hello. Hope you all had a nice Memorial Day weekend. I just got back in the stamp room or "my cave" as my hubby calls it tonight. My card is a simple one lay card. I started with a white, top folding 110 lb card base. Then used various colors of SU ink to stamp the paint swashes creating a frame for my greeting. Then stamped the greeting from Stamplorations and the mortarboard hat from SugarPea Stamps "For the Graduate" set in Versafine black ink.

Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge is "Frame It" and Wednesday challenge is a bright mood board.

Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CASology #343: Color

Hey there. There is a new challenge cue card up on the CASology Challenge Blog today.

Now this is a cue that you could go wild with but remember this is a "Clean and Simple" challenge. I made a super simple shaker card with The Stamp Market Mini Hellos set and dies. The images were stamped in Versafine black ink and colored with alcohol markers on Neenha 110 lb solar white cardstock.
