November Create With Us

Hey there.  It is release week over on the Papertrey Ink Blog. I have always admired Stephanie Gold's work. She blends clean and elegant effortlessly. My goal for this challenge was to take her card as my inspiration but to make a card that is all my own.

To create my card I used 3 PTI stamp sets:
Tree Trimming Trio
Sketched Shape
Holiday Button Bits
I used a kraft card base and die cut five deer from white cardstock with a Sizzix die, stamping the top one with Vesafine black ink then gluing them all together for dimension. The red tree was also stamped in black ink with the Concord and 9th's plaid background stamp. I thought the red buffalo check was trending everywhere this holiday season. That I would add it to my card. I took some hem tape and colored it with kraft colored ink, scrunching it up to dry. The two banners are stamped in red and white pigment ink. After all the layering was done I added a few black Nuvo drops to finish it all off.

This might be my favorite Christmas card this year. I love to use kraft and red together for Christmas! Thanks for stopping by, Sue.
