A Little Shaker Action

Hey there and a happy Friday to you! I have been on a bit of a shaker card run lately. I think I have made four this month. That is defiantly a record for this CAS girl. Both of these cards are made with new to me set from Stamplorations, Katherine's Big Wishes and the die Celebrate Big. I also used alcohol markers to color both images. The sprinkles in the candle cover up the fun ombre from teal to a lime green.

Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions ask away, Sue.

CASology #360: Crystal

Hey there! We are up for a brand new challenge on the CASology Challenge blog today and our new cue card is crystal clear...lol!

A long time ago I watched Jennifer McGuire make a clear card. I thought this might be the perfect challenge to try this out on. So I used a piece of window film cut 11 by 4.25" and scored it on the 5.5" mark. Then folded and creased it with my Teflon bone folder. I die cut three white rectangles and two green ones that were slightly larger than the white ones. After stamping and clear embossing the candle from Papertrey's Wishes Come True set, I added the black greeting from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words set. Then just layered it up using Score Tape for a secure hold. White, green, clear, white on front and white, clear, green to back cover. Finally adding a little Stickels to the flame. This left plenty of crystal, clear space for your eye to travel.

Now is your chance to go check out the teams fabulous cards for this crystal challenge.

Winter Sky Palette

Hello from the bitter, cold north. We have been locked indoors for two days with a blizzard and today we have not made it above zero. I think my mojo might be frozen also. I did some essential sewing today and tried to make a few cards too. We have had such beautiful winter sunrises and sunsets this year. The colors have been spectacular.
My card started with a white, top-folding card base that I inked blended four colors of Distress ink with a blender brush. Then placing a doily to act as my stencil I spritzed the panel with water, let sit a bit and dabbed off the excess with a microfiber cloth. I heat embossed the Beautiful Blooms 3 stamp set from Uniko with Versamark ink and white detail powder in the lower right corner. I coated the flower and leaves with clear Wink of Stella. The greeting from Altenew was also heat embossed at the base of the one-layer card. Finally adding a few Nuvo and Stickel's drops.

This is for the challenges listed below:
Less is More Off-Centered One Layer
Uniko Cool Winter Colors
(I took my color palette from the challenge photo)
AAA Cards One Layer Card
SSS Wednesday Stencil Challenge
Thank you for stopping by, Sue.

Shaker Card Times Two

Hey there. I was in a shaker card mode today. I created two birthday cards that are very different from each other. A clean and simple one for a man and a bright colored one for a woman. These are both going to be entered in the AAA Birthday Card Challenge, making a shaker card.

I used the Daddy Yo 2 stamp and die set from PaperSmootches to create my mini shaker card. This card will also be entered in the Less is More living coral and true blue challenge. The tie was colored with alcohol markers.

My second card used Time Holtz Happy Everything Blueprints stamp set and the large number dies from Papertrey Ink to create a fun 40th birthday shaker card. The greeting is from a CASual Friday's birthday set. I water colored the hat with my Arteza Bruch pens.

AAA Birthday Card Challenge is also doing a Design Team call. Here is hoping they like my cards! Thanks for stopping by tonight, Sue.

Happy, happy new year to you! Welcome to 2020 and a new challenge over on the CASology Challenge blog. Our new cue card is...

My card is a simple, one-layer card that started with a top-folding, 110 lbs white card base. Stamping each greeting twice with four colors of ink for my repeat. Finally over stamping the envelope with black Versafine ink. All the stamps are from Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts set.
