MIM #56.. Linen and White

Hey there!  Super simple.  Color pallet was Fine Linen and White cardstock and ink from Papertrey.  I did the partial die cut with the butterly die from PTI on the white cardstock then cut 2 more from it also.  Popped up the top wing and the accidental bottom wing cut with foam tape.  Then layered the other 2 butterflies on and lastly stamped the greeting.  All mounted on Fine Linen A2 card.

MIM #56...Die Cut Tricks

Hello.  Hope you are having a great week.  Life in the mid-west...blizzard on Sunday and we hit 70 degrees today.  I am still looking toward spring.  Today card uses the Scrambled Eggs set from Papertrey Ink.  The technique we are using is described on Nicole Heady's blog. http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2012/03/make-it-monday-56-die-cutting-partial-images.html

It involves using the a die but only getting a partial cut on the cardstock.  So I didn't cut the bottom portion of the die.  The picture below shows where I did cut the cardstock.  The cardstock was flat when I cut it, then I scored and folded it, and mounted it to a piece of New Leaf cardstock.  Bunny ears were added after.

Last one for the weekend...RCC42 & MIM55

Okay, I know it is Thursday but I have a girls weekend planned and that is going to start tomorrow.  I want to enter this card in the Ribbon Carousel #42 challenge anything from a spool and the Make-It-Monday Challenge extended frames.

I used the Happy Day set to create my extended frame in Royal Velvet ink stamped on white PTI cardstock.  I added a layer of New Leaf cardstock as an accent around the greeting.  Greeting is also from the Happy Day set.  Pink ribbon and egg paper were from Hobby Lobby.

Moxie Fab, RCC42 and Simon Says Stamp

I just love this little guy from the Papertrey Ink Scrambled Eggs set.  Again our focus was navy blue at Moxie Fab Winter Blues and that is the ink I chose to use on this simple card.  The fun comes in with the crepe paper I used as the embelishment.  I layered three strips and sewed down the middle, then fringed it cutting every .25" or so.  Bunnies ears and nose were colored with Crayola pencil.  The Simon Says Stamp was a Anything Goes challenge and the Ribbon Carousel Challenge was to use something off of a spool.  My crepe paper and navy floss is off of a spool.



Stamps, cardstock and button were all from PTI. 

Navy ink and cardstock are Stampin Up.

Moxie Fab... Winter Blues

If you wondered about why I am posting so many times today it is because I am going away for a girls weekend with my daughter and sister.  Should be all kinds of fun.  So this card is going to be entered in the Winter Blues challenge on Moxie Fab.  We were to focus on the color Navy.  I used a old Kaleidacolor pad that used shades of blue  and Night of Navy from Stampin Up.  White cardstock, Houndstooth stamp and "happy" die are from Papertrey Ink.  Birthday greeting is from SU also. 

Popped the houndstooth panel up with foam tape.  I have one more idea for today so we will see if it get done.  Later,

CASE Study #80 Challenge

Happy Thursday!  So the CASE Study challenge for today was to take inspiration from the heart card at the bottom and use it to make your card.  Well when I first saw it I thought shamrock.  So that is the way I went.  Used PTI Ripe Avocado, New Leaf and Pinefeather as the color pallet and the Heart Print dies to cut it.  All mounted on a Rustic White base card.  Greeting is an old Stampin Up set.

Not sure I was happy with the color combo in the end but it was fun to play.

RCC42,SimonSaysStamp and MIM #55 Challenges.

Howdy!  Boy, did I have fun making this card.  It just made me smile and I even got a little smile from my husband.  I love the spring colors.  Sweet Blush and Hawaiian Shores from Papertrey.  The chick is from the set Scrambled Eggs and was colored with Crayola pencils.  My extended frame for the PTI MIM challenge was created with Fillable Frames #10.  Greeting is from Memory Box and was stamped on Christmas Labels from PTI.

Lastly, I took some crepe paper in two colors, sewed it together, and then cut the fringe in it.  Also used some ribbon I had picked up at Hobby Lobby to finish off the the greeting label.  So for the Ribbon Carousel challenge I took my crepe paper and ribbon off of spools.  Simon Says Stamp challenge was "Anything Goes". 

So this will fit that also!
