Tueday Transformation Tie-dye

Hello. So today's card went back to July 2012. The PTI Challenge was a tie-dye technique. We used alcohol markers to color an area then used rubbing alcohol to blend and let the colors run together.
I used the alcohol markers on the white card stock then spritzed it with rubbing alcohol letting the colors run down the page. After it was dry I used the heart prints die to cut the heart pattern. Saving some of the hearts to stack and glue together. I backed the card front with a white panel and after heat embossing the greeting from the Keep It Simple: Wedding on a vellum strip stitched it around the card with metallic thread. I then added the two stacked hearts to the card front.

The TimeOut Challenge theme is Loving and this card fits the bill for that. Thank you for stopping by, Sue.

CASology: #326 Frozen

Hello we have a fun new challenge up on the CASology Challenge Blog this morning. Our new cue card is:

My card is a simple 110lbs white, top folding card base. I stamped the Hero Arts snowman in Versafine black ink and colored his scarf, nose and holly with my Arteza Realbrush pens. I then die cut the thanks three times with The Stamp Markets Double Take die. Stacked and glued them together to give the card some dimension.
It is a pretty straight forward card. I liked the way the white "thanks" looked against the line image.

Thanks for stopping by. Now is your chance to check out the fun cards the team created for the FROZEN challenge.

Come Sail Away..

Hello and happy Monday to you! Hope you had a relaxing weekend. We did and we are kicking off Monday with some stamping. Today's card goal was to use the Less is More water theme with the AAA Cards Sketch and pastel pallete.

My cards used the Bitty Baby Blessings stamps and dies from Papertrey ink along with aqua, baby blue and light green card stock and ink. Die cuts were popped up with foam tape to make the sailboat stand out a little.

Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions I will get back to you as soon as I can, Sue.

CAS Snowflake

Hello. Happy Saturday to you! Just a little stamping today. I keep telling myself that I am done making Christmas card and then an idea comes along. lol.
My card is a white, top folding A2 card base that I stamped with navy ink and the Stampin' Up Snowflake Spot set. I then took two widths of washi tape overlapping them and the snowflake on the card front. Using the splattered stamp I used a light aqua ink to add some depth. Finally I added a sentiment strip stamped with Kerri Bradford's Bundled Up set and mounting it to the card front.

This card fits all of the challenges above. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Simon Says Stamp Something New

I am so super, duper excited! I have been asked to be a guest designer over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog this month.
This weeks challenge was "Something New".
https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/

From the day the Simon "Tiny Words" stamp set came out, I have wanted it. With the trend for tiny word banners big right now, this sets fits the bill. I started with a Neenah Solar white, 110lbs white card base. Stamping a group of the greetings in five different colors of ink, staggering them down the front of the card. I used my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to make this step easier. From a scrap of navy card stock I die cut the candle three times. Then brushed Wink of Stella over the strip. The tassel was created with four colors of bakers twine and tied to the navy card stock. Finally I mounted it to the card front with foam tape.

One of the other things I like to do with a new stamp set is to see how far it can stretch, the variety of cards I can make with it. Simon Says Stamp Store is carrying a new brand of stamps. I have been in love with company for about a year. I took The Stamp Market's Birthday Wishes set and created the eight cards below.

Three Colors, Three Columns

Hey there. Playing with a super versatile stamp set from The Stamp Market, Birthday Wishes.
Using the color palette from the My Favorite Things color challenge and the AAA Cards challenge of three I planned my card. It was essential for me to use my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to get my stripes positioned properly. Card base was 110 lbs, top folding white Neenah cardstock. This was a fun graphic card to create!
Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CASology: #325 Fresh

Hey there.  There is a brand new cue on the CASology Challenge Blog today.

When I first heard the cue my thoughts went to fresh air.
My thoughts went to the crisp mornings when the colors in the sky change with every minute that passes. I started with a piece of watercolor paper that I wet down then used my Arteza Realbrush pens to apply the color. I spraying it with water as I went to move the color around. When it was dry I stamped the trees from the Stampin Up set Lovely as a Tree in Versafine black ink. Then stamped the Scripty Sayings from Lawn Fawn. I trimmed the panel down an 1/8" and mounted to an amethyst A2 card base. I sprayed the panel with Shimmer Spritz.
Thanks for stopping by. Now go check out the teams great cards.
