MFTT-Stripe-tastic

This is one of the cards that was dancing around in my head like sugar plums.  Not sure if I nailed it or not.  You know how sometimes it looks way better in your head that the outcome is.  So here is the trigger picture.

And here is the card.  I went with a tri-fold card that is 4.25 by 4.25 inches.  I want to duplicate the stripe, colors and the snowflakes on her collar.

Cardstock-White and Bordering Blue(SU)
Ink-Stampin Up
Stamps-Stampin Up
Extras-Snowflake Die(PTI)

Hope you keep warm and toasty this evening.

Mojo Monday 221 Challenge

Hope everyone had a great Chrismas and maybe even got some great stamps!  HA.  I did.  My daughter knows I love Papertrey and ordered me some stamps for Christmas.  So I had to just get them inked up.  The Mojo sketch was so easy to work with this week and is one I will use again and again.
I am done with Christmas cards for a while and wanted to move on to Valentines day.  The bright colors together are so fun.

Cardstock-Raspberry Fizz(PTI), background papers(Hobby Lobby)
Ink- Poppy(PTI)
Stamps-Papertrey Ink
Extras-Raspberry Felt(PTI), Puffy Glitter Sticker(Hobby Lobby)

Can't wait to play a little more.  Woke up in the night with stamping ideas in my head that needed to get out. hehe.  Have a great afternoon.

MIM #46 Die Cut Tag

Good afternoon.  This NEEDS to be my last post before Christmas.  I have baking and cleaning not to mention wrapping some presents to get done.  I think I am addicted, ya think??  After looking at the tags in the make-it-monday challenge I thought "I can do better".  So here we go.  I felt a little crazy with all the dies out on my desk but I liked the final product.

I used the seed packet for the envy and then punched a window with a 1 3/8" punch.  Backed the window with acetate and inked the edges with Chai ink.  Diecut holly from a page of an old hymnal and inked up them with Ripe Avocado.  Wrapped red bakers twine around and tided with a Oceans Tide button.  Placed a few red gems on button.

Next I die cut a folded piece of white cardstock and background paper with the button card die.  Opened the cardstock and die cut the 2 and 5 through one side of the cardstock.  Then slip the background paper in between the layers of white folded tag so the background paper will show through the 25 window.

Stamp the back with the greeting and snowflakes.  Diecut the ticket strip out of Ocean Tides cardstock and stamp with some snowflakes.  Staple all the layers of the folded tag with the ticket folded on the top to act as a tab.  There I hope I didn't miss anything.

Supplies are all from Papertrey Ink with the exception of the punch(SU) and the mini staple(Tim Holtz).

Okay I am off to the kitchen to get some baking done this afternoon.  May you all have a Merry Christmas!!

Moxie Fab and Card Pattern Sketch #146

Good Sunday afternoon to you!  Had a few minutes between holiday activites today so I HAD TO go play a little.  This is the card I created thinking about the houndstooth, green/neutal color way and the layout of card sketch.  I have on order the houndstooth stamp set from Papertrey but sadly it has not come yet so I used the Cuttlebug houndstooth embossing folder.  Love the classic patterns.  Hope you enjoy the card!

MIM #45 Challenge-Coloring Embossed Images

Hey there.  I promise this is the last post for today and maybe the whole weekend.  Not sure about the results on this one.  It did kind of funny things to my Copics.  Like white spots on the tips.  My embossing power is really old so that might be part of the problem.  We were to emboss an image with white powder on dark cardstock then color with Copic markers.

Cardstock: Choc.Chip(SU), Natural Ivory,Simply Chartreuce and Mellon Berry background paper.
Ink: White pigment(SU)
Stamps: Button Boutique(PTI)
Extras: Button Boutique die set, natural twill, bakers twine(PTI), Copic markers R22,YG03,BG72

It is a little streaky and the colors are wonky in the picture.  Sweet dreams!  Sentimentally Sue.

Embellish Mixed Pattern Color Challenge

I would like to do some card challenges and haven't had the blog to do it but now I do!  Yea!  This one is for the Embellish Blog Challenge for this week.

Cardstock: Vanilla, Navy, Artichoke and Choc.Chip(SU)
Ink: Saffron, Navy, Choc.Chip and Artichoke(SU)
Stamps: Giga Guide Lines and Woodgrain Background(PTI)

I like the dark colors together. The mix of the lacy background and woodgrain make a nice contrast.  Enjoy your evening!
