CASology #340: Africa

Today's card is all about Africa for the new challenge over on the CASology Challenge Blog.

I must admit this was out of my comfort zone. I did not have any stamps that felt like Africa to me, so the country is drawn free-hand. I looked up the shape on the internet, outlined it in pencil then used a permanent marker to trace over the pencil line. Then I looked up kente cloth colors to create my stripes and stamped them with The Stamp Market's "Trendy Borders" set. The greeting is from the Concord and 9th set "Hi There Bear" set.

Please go check out what the rest of the team has created then join us back at CASology to share your creation. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

The team has some great ideas to share with you then I hope you will join us back on the challenge blog sharing your ideas. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Pink Layered Floral

Hello. As you know layers are something that I struggle with, to much or not enough. So most of the time I keep with the CAS design. Today I am stretching myself a bit.
I am just going to list the supplies I used because describing the process would take me a really long time. If you have questions ask away and I will try to answer them.
Stamps:
Dies:
Pastel Pink WOW Embossing Powder
Arteza Brush Pens (watercolor)
Ranger Texture Paste
Pearl Ex Gold powder
Tim Holtz Watercolor paper
Tissue Vellum
Nuvo gold drops and alcohol markers
gold foil dot washi tape

I incorporated two challenges into my card. My Favorite Things color challenge and Simon Says Stamps Monday "Don't be fooled, Be foiled". (foil washi tape)

Thanks for dropping by, Sue.

CASology #337: Burst

Hello. It is Tuesday and that mean a new challenge up on the Challenge Chalenge Blog.

This is kind of a different spin on the cue card. I couldn't help think of the word "burst" when I looked at that belly of the Stamping Bella stamp. lol. She was colored with colored pencils and the greeting is stamped with Versafine black ink from the So Very set from Stampin Up.
Thank you for stopping by, Sue. The team has some fun cards to share with you so go check them out.
