CASology #352: Dragonfly

Hey there. So we have a new two week challenge up on the CASology Challenge Blog today. Our new cue card is...

Sponsor:  STAMPlorations

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

So when I saw the cue DRAGONFLY I searched through all my stamps. I have no dragonfly stamp or dies. Well that gave me a great chance to get creative with what I do have.

I used the two sets above, Papertrey Ink's Happiness in Bloom and Ellen Hutson's Bokeh Dots to create my dragonfly using Versafine black ink on kraft card stock. I heat embossing with clear detail powder after stamping the greeting from the same set. Added some kraft ink dots and die cut the stamped panel in a tag shape. Using a simple piece of black twine and attached to a kraft card base with foam tape it was finished.

Thanks for stopping by to catch the details. Now onto the rest of the teams fabulous projects.

Stamptember 2019 with Gina K

Hey there. Just dropping by to share a card with you today from the new Holiday Seals collaborative set. This set was created to celebrate The Stamping Village and twelve of it members working together. I used the Gina K seal and also her Vintage Borders sets. It is a one layer card with a peek through circle window. Besides the seal being embossed with gold glitter embossing powder from Ranger I added a little gold glitter washi tape and alcohol markers to the poinsettia. It was pretty simple to create and would be easy to mass produce for Christmas.

Today Simon Says Stamp is celebrating Gina K. So I will be adding this card to the gallery there and also the SSS Wednesday "Stamp It" challenge. It is also fitting to the metallic challenge up on the Less Is More blog. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CASology #351: LOL

Hey there! Are you up for a new CASology challenge cue? Our new cue should bring some laughs for everyone.

Looks like we all are in for a few laughs. My card base is a natural ivory, top folding card. All the stamps used are from Hero Arts, Snarky Mix & Match Messages and the Bike set. I used a pale plum, going gray and classic kraft inks. Over stamping the Happy Birthday greeting with Versamark and heat embossing with clear detail powder. Clean, simple and graphic just the way we like it.

The CASology Team has some super fun projects to show you and come back to the CASology Challenge Blog to share you creative ideas! Thanks for stopping by, Sue.
