Watercolors for Mom

Hey there. I am so in love with this card. It has the bright colors of a rainbow with the clean and simple design I love using one of my favorite stamps from Altenew, Painted Poppy. I started this card with a Tim Holtz watercolor panel that I washed some aqua color across the panel with Arteza brush pens. Set it aside to dry while I die cut three sets of letters from yellow card stock with Chunky Alphabet dies from The Stamp Market. I stacked the letters and glued them together adding a little shimmer spritz to the top layer.
When the water color panel was dry I heat embossed the poppy with white detail powder. Then used the fill in stamps and distress ink to blend the colors on the stamps and spritzed with water before stamping. Then filled in with my brush pens. When dry I stamped the greeting from Papertrey Ink KIS: Mother's Day with aqua ink. Using a T-square I lined up the MOM letters over the greeting.
Finally I trimmed down the panel to 4" by 5.25" and glued to a top folding white card using yellow fun foam to pop it up a little on the card front. I like to use a colored foam it add a little glow behind the panel.
Challenges just inspire me. I love to stretch myself by combining several challenges. I think it brings out the best of my creativity. SSS Wednesday Challenge is Something Feminine, my greetings are Big and Small, the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and color palette from Time Out.

Thank you so much for stopping by, Sue!
