CAS Colours and Sketches #505

Hi there. When I look at all my cards, I think you must not think I have any colored cardstock. LOL. A very long time ago I was a Stampin' Up! demo and I still have a very large selection of colored cardstock. Two file drawers full. White is just my go too. We have a new sketch up on the CAS Colours and Sketches blog today.

I rotated my card design 90 degrees from the sketch, but it could easily be done in the landscape orientation.

AAA Cards Challenge #234

Hello. We have a new challenge up on the AAA Cards Challenge blog today.

If you have ever wondered how far in advance I work on the card and blog posts, I received this Ellen Hutson Stay Cool stamp set back in June of 2022 and started creating this card. LOL. I love to get things checked off my "to do list".

I had also purchased some of the SSS Pawsitively Saturated ink pads so it was a great time to try both out. Beautiful smooth stamping with the ink. I also used the All About You stamp set for Ellen for the greeting. This was such a fun, one layer card to create using ink-layering.

I hope you will join us in this circle challenge and thanks so much for stopping by, Sue.

AAA Cards Challenge #233

Hey there. We have a fun new color challenge up on the AAA Cards Challenge blog today.

I am not sure why, but the teal and gold just spoke to the manly side of things. Maybe it was the images...
So that is where I went with my card using the Altenew's Mini Delight, Your a Classic set.

I used brushed gold cardstock and gold, heat embossed headlights along with the teal stamped car and card base to create a classic manly card.

I can't wait to see how you interpret this gold and teal challenge. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

AAA Birthday Card Challenge #46

Happy February to you! We have a new challenge up on the AAA Birthday Card blog. We are playing with stencils this month.

I was experimenting with a few new products, Deco Foil, Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo and Nuvo Shimmer Powders. I started with a panel of watercolor paper, wet it and tapped on the shimmer powders. I would mist my paper and tap on more powder till I was happy with the outcome. Then let the paper dry overnight. The next day I took the Delicate Links stencil and added the gel over my background of shimmer powder through the stencil. Let the gel dry and rubbed my gold foil over the gelled area.

I trimmed down my panel and stamped the greeting from Papertrey Ink's KIS Birthday in coral ink quickly heat embossing with clear detail powder on a white cardstock strip. I used one of the foiled scraps to accent my greeting and wrapped gold thread around it before attaching to my white card base with foam tape.

It was fun to try a few new techniques on this card. I hope you will share your stenciled cards with us this month on the blog. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.
