Christmas Silhouette

Hey there. This was a really quick card to create. The hardest part was clearing out all those little pieces from the die cut.
I had a scrap of water colored paper laying on my desk that I had die cut some leaves from last week. So I used it to cut this village die. Then mounted it an an A2 white card base and stamped the Papertrey greeting in razzleberry ink. Super quick and easy Christmas card. Happy Little Stampers has several challenges that I plan to enter the card in besides Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Christmas challenge and finally the Less is More watercolor challenge.

Thanks for stopping, Sue.

Watercolor One Layer

Hello. I am home sick today but even at that a person can do only so much laying around, right? Just a nasty cold so I am hoping by resting and drinking lots of fluid I can whip it. The two guys I work with either sing for a living or are leaving for an overseas mission trip tomorrow. I thought my germs needed to stay home. Okay enough about me let's get to a card.
The card base is a 11 by 4.25" Canson watercolor paper. I first impressed the hills from some dies I ordered from China. Then I die cut the Essentials  by Ellen Home & Hearth die, the house ad trees. Using an Avery Elle set called Circle It I stamped the snow with Versamark and clear heat embossed it. The using some Distress Inks I water colored the top portion of the card. Tada, one layer with a silhouette of the house and trees. Greeting is from one of my favorite Papertrey Ink Christmas sets, Beautiful Blessings: Holiday stamped in eggplant ink.
I will be entering the card in several challenges listed bellow. Thanks for visiting, Sue.

Boo!

Hey there. Have you ever spent a ridiculous amount of time on a card? Like hours...
This shaker has ten layers of die cut cardstock, faux epoxy moon & stars and one blended distress ink background. I used True Black, Royal Velvet and Bright Buttercup cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I was trying out the faux epoxy embellishments #298 challenge from PTI. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to create the night sky background in the shaker.
I want to enter it in several online challenges.
SSS Monday challenge was the dark side using Tim Holtz products.
SSS Wednesday challenge was Anything Goes.

Graduated Pink Wash

Hello. I had one more encouragement card I created while I had my paints out. Here again I started with a Strathmore watercolor paper and just did an ombre wash from bottom to top using more water as I went up the page to dilute the color.
Then let the panel dry and gold heat embossed the sentiment on brushed gold cardstock. I mounted the watercolor panel on a A2 brushed gold card base and attached the greeting on it. I will be entering it in several challenges listed below.

The Time Out challenge was #93 for breast cancer awareness.

Watercolor Pink Ribbon

Happy Monday to you. Kind of gloomy and rainy here today. So I thought I would work on a few encouragement cards. October is breast cancer month and I know we all know of someone who has been affected.  I don't have a ribbon stamp so I thought I might try to paint one.
I started with a Strathmore watercolor panel and painted the ribbon, let it dry and put some Wink of Stella over it. Super hard to see the sparkle.

The heat embossed the greeting from PTI on vellum and attached it to the watercolor panel. Lastly I matted it to a brushed gold panel then a rose red A2 card base. I will enter it in the following challenges.

Golden Wash

Hello. Well the weekend is winding down, bummer. I made a couple of quick water color cards with the metallic from my Tambi paint pallet. I hate to even call this watercolor. What I did was just a wash.  I used Strathmore paper and just washed the color across the panel to follow the sketch.
I then heat embossed the greeting from my favorite Christmas stamp set called Beautiful Blessings: Holiday. Mounted it to an A2 white card base.

Rainbow Wishes

Hey there. I am creating a little Sunday-Fun day.
I watched a Jennifer McGuire tulle shaker card video this afternoon. I have never tried this before. It was fun and pretty easy. I will definitely be trying it again. I wanted to add a little watercolor to my card also.
I cut a Strathmore watercolor panel for my rainbow stripe. I just used my Gansai Tambi paints to create the rainbow then spritzed with water. I let it dry and stamped my greeting in black. Die cut the circle, the hat and pipe, folded the tulle and added gold sequins. Sandwiched it between the layers of cardstock using very sticky tape.  Lastly I added a little pearl smoke to the pipe. I will enter it in the challenges listed below.
I flipped the sketch over.
