A Wreath Two Ways

Hello. Happy Tuesday to you! Today I was challenged to take a wreath and create two different projects with it. My wreath die unfortunately was a unmarked die that I had picked up along the way. So I do not have a manufacture for you. Here are my two projects.

The card started with a watercolor panel from Tim Holtz. I wet it down and blended my Arteza Realbrush pens in fall colors across the panel. I then took metallic gold and yellow watercolor paints and splattered the panel. After it was dry I cut it down 1/4" on two sides. I die cut two white wreaths and cut them apart to stretch across the card, attached them with spray adhesive and ran them through my die cut machine to press them down. Then I die cut two thank you greeting one each from brushed gold and white card stock. After off setting them a little I glued them in place with liquid glue. I attached the panel to a 110 lbs, white card base and added a few white Nuvo drops.

My next project with the wreath die was a tag. I die cut both a white and red tag and a red wreath. The tag die is from Papertrey Ink and the greeting is from The Stamp Market. Followed the same process and added a few white Nuvo drops to jazz it up a little.
The tag was inspired by Amy Kolling (day 13) for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags also using the Time Out Challenge for color inspiration. Wreath, red, white and grey.

Simon Says Stamp has two Thanks/Thanksgiving challenges going on their Monday and Wednesday Challenges. The card will fit both of those. Thanks so much for stopping by, Sue.

  5. You have really thought outside the box using your wreath, Sue! Your thank you card rocks my world in those gorgeous sunset watercolors with the deconstructed white wreath and the offset gold sediment and splatters! Glorious! And your tag is also fabulous in classic red and white for Christmas! Thank you very much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #11! [Just a friendly reminder that we are a card challenge. :( You can attach your pretty tag to a card and replace your Twofer in the gallery!] Hugs, Darnell
