I am so honored again to serve as a guest designer on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. This week we will be using Hero Art's products to create a "Thank You/Thanksgiving" card.
I wanted to challenge myself to use what I had. So I took out my Hero Art's sets and tried to think of them in a new light. I used the Candy Stripe Background and Thank You For Being My Friend(retired) set from Hero Arts. Using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform I mounted the background stamp and inked it with a custom Kalidacolor ink pad. Stamping then rotating the paper 90 degrees and stamping again to create a fun plaid on Neenha Desert Storm card stock. I thought it created a fun flannel look to the card front. I used some scraps of the same card stock to die cut the leaves with my Gemini Junior die cut machine. Then stamping the greeting and mounting it to the card front with foam tape.
Now you have a chance to win a $50 dollar gift certificate from Simon to use at the store by entering your own Thanks/Thanksgiving projects to the challenge. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.
I love your plaid background, Sue, and the kaleidoscope ink worked perfectly for it! Great thinking outside the box!
ReplyDeleteThis is GORGEOUS, Sue!! I LOVE those beautiful, rich colors on the desert storm card base. And I love that you kept the rest of the card simple. Very nice!!
