25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 6

Hello. Today I am guest hosting over on Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags. I am having such fun creating tags for presents this year. We are celebrating Stamplorations today.

I used the clear Joy stamp set for this tag and a holly die cut from Papertrey Ink.

This tag used some ink blending and the Yuletide Deer set.

My final tag was also ink blended in a circle this time then heat embossed with the Peace Be With You stamp and gold detail embossing powder.
I hope you can find time to create a tag or two and join the fun! Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 5

Hey there. I am joining the fun over on Tracey McNeely's 25 Tags of Christmas Blog. Today we are celebrating Ellen Hutson. My tags all use the Holiday Characters set to make my tags. I also used the Hello Bluebird Typed Christmas set for the greetings and alcohol markers to color the images.

I hope you will join the fun and create some tags inspired by the teams tags today. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CASology #377: Sunset

Hello. We have a new challenge up on the CASology Challenge Blog and this should be a beautiful one.

Uniko Studio is our generous sponsor for this challenge. My card today is a one layer, CAS birthday card. I started with Ellen Hutson's Wonky Backdrops and six colors of ink. Blending the ink colors together. I then stamped the stripe and greeting with Versafine black ink. I coated it with clear embossing powder and heated it. Finally blended yellow ink around the circle to create a glow.

I hope you get a chance to join us in this colorful challenge.
The team has some fabulous projects to inspire you.

CASology #376: Dry

Hi there! So glad you dropped by. We have a new challenge up this morning on the CASology Challenge Blog.

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is:

This one took a little thought on my part but the thing that stood out to me the most was "dry embossing" and the simplest way to go about it was to use my score board and a bone folder to create a plaid image in the corner of my card.

After that I trimmed my panel and heat embossed the greetings with silver detail powder. I also die cut a rose and heat embossed it. Mounted everything to an A2 white card base for a CAS wedding card. Subtle but elegant.

I hope you will check out the teams inspiration and come back and join us in this "dry" challenge. Quick reminder of the CAS guidelines for our challenge:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

CASology #375: Spice

Hey there. CASology Challenge Blog has a brand new cue card up this morning. I hope you will join us for this new two week challenge. Our new cue is...

Sponsor:  Your Next Stamp

This was a tough cue for me. So I broke out the Chunky Alphabet stamps from The Stamp Market, both outline and filler. The fun part of these sets are they come with both the large and small alphabets. I stamped the outline with Versafine black ink using my stamp platform. Then placed the filler letters over the outline and used three colors of ink to create my "spicy" word. I die cut the heart out of my panel and popped it up with fun foam on a A2 white card base.

I am looking forward to checking out what the design team and you come up with for this "spice" cue. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

CASology #374: Vacation

Hey there. We have a new cue card up on the CASology Challenge Blog this morning. Hopefully you got a chance to get away this summer or are planning a little vacation this winter.

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is:

My hubby and I like to do a bit of camping during the summer. We do not use a tent. I don't think sleeping on the ground is something I would enjoy at this point in life. lol.  I started with a scrap of kraft card stock that I stamped images from two stamp sets in Gina K black ink. Then I colored the campfire with alcohol markers and trimmed the card stock to a rectangle shape. Using a small piece of washi tape to ground my stamped piece that was popped up with fun foam. I cut a tag from white card stock and stamped the greeting in the same black ink tying it with black bakers twine. Everything was pushed to the corner to create lots of white space on my card front. So what it your idea of "vacation"?

I am also entering this card in a few other challenges.

Thanks for stopping by. The team has some great ideas to inspire you, so go check them out then come back and share your ideas with us!

CASology #373: September

Hello and welcome to September and a brand new challenge over on the CASology Challenge Blog. Our new cue card is fitting for this first day of the month.

Sponsor:  Lawn Fawn

My card uses one very old, Papertrey Ink stamp set from 2011, Tag-Its #6.  I stamped the alpha circle in Versafine black ink on a scrap of white card stock. Then with the simplicity of clear stamps I over stamped the aqua lines and red greeting. Using my circle dies I die cut it and added some fun foam to the back. Then stamping the apple I die cut it with another circle die and coated it with Glossy Accents setting aside to let it dry.  I stamped the "many thanks" three times with the same aqua ink and created a tiny side flag with red polka dot washi tape. I then added a tiny staple to go with the whole school theme.  Keeping my elements layered in a small area left me with lots of white space for this CAS design.

Quick reminder of the CAS guidelines for our challenge:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)
Thank you for stopping by now is a great time to check out all the projects the Design Team has created to inspire you.
