Watercolor Wedding Wishes!

Howdy!  So I know this layout is almost the same as yesterdays but I love it.  I changed up the elements a little.  I started with Rustic Cream cardstock from Papertrey Ink.  I stamped the striped scalloped circle from Hero Arts with the Tea Dye Duo light ink from PTI.  Then the Text Style stamp from PTI in the darker of the tea dye duo ink.  I embossed the flower from the PTI in copper embossing powder along with the greeting.  Then I watercolored the flower with my watercolor crayons from Stampin Up and a waterbrush.  Lastly I ruffed up the edge and rubbed the tea dye ink along the edge and mounted it on a Rustic Cream card base.
Simon Says Stamp is having an "April Flowers" challenge and PTI Make-It-Monday is having a watercoloring/embossing challenge.

Travel...who me??

Happy Saturday to you!  So first I need to address the title.  We don't travel, my husband and I.  He likes to stay home or at least in our state.  So travel is a foreign concept in our house.  I started with the Playdate #177 colorway and the CASology "travel" cue card.

My card uses a Martha Stewart world travel set and Stampin Up inks.  Cardstock is all from Papertrey Ink.

So as you can see my destination is my hubby.  Thanks for stopping by today!

CFC136 and MIM111

Good evening!  My title reminded me of some code being typed out tonight.  I must be staring at computer code to much lately.  So tonight's card used embossing and watercoloring.  I saw the CASE Study card for the week below and decided to used the same color pallet to create a water color background.  I started by embossing the thank you with clear powder over black ink on Papertrey white cardstock.  Then took my water color crayons(SU) and a waterbrush to paint the background.
Trimed the block down to 3 3/4 by 5" when dry and mounted it onto a PTI white card base.  The card below was my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping.  Sweet dreams to you!

April Showers bring Spring Flowers???

Hey all!  I bet you thought I had dropped off the face of this earth...well almost.  My husband has had 3 surgeries in 3 months and my dad has gone to spend eternity with God.  Busy time in our lives.  So it really felt good to spend a little time stamping tonight.  Just to play with ink and paper makes me happy.  The card below is a favorite technique of mine it is to layer images to create a collage effect.  Papertrey Ink had it as a challenge last week and there was just no time to stamp so I thought it would work with this weeks challenge also that is "watercoloring over embossing".
Stamps: Friends till the End, Polka Dot Basics, and Text Style (PTI)
Thank You For Being My Friend (Hero Arts)
Cardstock: White and Berry Sorbet (PTI)
Ink: Papertrey Ink
Embossing Power (PTI)

So I would like to enter it in the Make It Monday #111 challenge.

I would like to enter it also in the Simon Says Stamp "Spring Flowers" challenge.

And last but not least I will enter it in the Hero Arts April Female card challenge.
APRIL2013B.

Thanks for stopping by and I will try to do better with the blogging!

Maile Inspired Double Die Cut Challenge

Hello.  Maile is such a fabulous stamper with such a clean design eye.  I wanted to mimic her design style and throw in the double die cut challenge for good measure.
I die cut the frame from Aqua Mist and the sun from Lemon Tart cardstock.  The base and little cloud is white PTI cardstock.  Greeting stamped in Basic Black.  I popped the little cloud up with foam tape.

Thanks for dropping by,

Imitation with Printables

Hi ya!  So for my first challenge I thought I would take one of Ashley's cards and pull the stripes, lower right image and ribbon accent to create my project.
Next I took one of the printables Nicole gave us for the challenge today to create my focal point.  The candles dictated my colorway of Ocean Tide and Berry Sorbet.

These are fun printables.  I might try to get a few more cards made up if I have time.  Thanks for stopping by,

Sixth Birthday Bash!

Happy Wednesday to you!  Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 6th Aniversary with some great challenges.  Todays was to take the printable images below and use them in your project.  I liked the Happy Birthday with the chevrons.  I printed the images out on a piece of PTI white cardstock.
For this card I used 3 images.  One for the aqua banner, one for the frame and one for the base image.  I used the Chevron background in Aqua Mist and Fine Linen ink on white card base.

All the layers were popped up with foam tape to different heights.

Happy "6" PTI!  Thanks for stopping by,
Sentimentally Sue.
