CAS Colours and Sketches #503

Hello. We have a super fun, double challenge up on the CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge blog. What is better than one great challenge...two!!

I love to challenge myself to push past my go to ideas and try something new. Today's card started with a watercolor panel that I dabbed barely bannana ink with a wet paint brush across. When it was dry I stamped the greeting from the Papertrey Ink Movers and Shakers Sentiments set in black ink. Then using the Sketched Shapes dies to create the fun tag in the challenge colors.

I added a bit of baker's twine and some Glossy Effects to the arrow. Finally stamping the extra greeting in rose ink on a pretty in pink strip of cardstock.

I can't wait to see what you guys will create for this double challenge!

 

AAA Cards Challenge #232

 Hello! We are on to our second challenge of 2023. Today's AAA Cards Challenge involves a white on white technique.

I love this technique. My card uses only the Smooth Alphabet from Papertrey Ink to create a totally white card.

To give the card a little dimension I used foam tape to pop up my die cut panel. The only stamping I did was to create an inside greeting with a set from PTI also.

Hello. Well if you have followed me for a while you know my favorite kid of challenge is a sketch challenge and we have a new one up today on the CAS Colours and Sketch Challenge blog.

 

Pink Freesia

Hey there. I got a new stamp set Fresh Freesia from Altenew this week. It was such a pretty floral that will work great for my CAS style. I also had one more idea for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge.

My idea was to take the large dot stencil from Pretty Pink Posh and blend the 3 ink colors from the inspiration photo. Then stamp and color the freesia with alcohol markers over the dots.

I ink blended the left side of a top folding white card base, trimmed the stamped panel and mounted it to the card base with foam tape.

AAA Cards Challenge #231

 Hello and happy new year to you! 

To start you off on a productive new year we at AAA Cards have a new moodboard challenge for you.

My card uses an older Concord and 9th stamp set, Hi There Bear. I also used the Ellen Hutson's Bokeh Dots set. 

My sentiment strip greeting is from Creative Expressions Wordies- Birthday.

CAS Colours and Sketches #501

 Hello. Hope you are ready to kick off a new two-week challenge on the CAS Colours and Sketches blog.

I started with the three colors of cardstock that were picked out for the challenge. Using the Ellen Hutson Home & Hearth die set I cut out the houses and white trees. The greeting from Avery Elle was stamped in blackberry ink.  I then glued the die cuts to the card front and added the smoke form the Papertrey Ink Winter Penguin set.

This was such a fun color combo. I hope you will plan to join us for this challenge. Sue

AAA Birthday Card Challenge #45

 Hello and Happy New Year!  Today is my first post for the AAA Birthday Card Challenge as part of the team. Our challenges run an entire month and encompass any style as long as it is a birthday card.

This first one is the easiest anything goes. I used a printed watercolor panel from Stamplorations as my jumping off point. I masked off the top and left side then ink blended away. I misted a bit of water over the panel and blotted the excess to create the mottled effect.  Using various colors of ink, I stamped the greeting form SSS Cleanline Everday set. Then stamped the final time and heat embossed it in gold detail powder. I trimmed down the panel and mounted it to a white card base that I had added a strip of gold washi tape with foam tape. To finish off I added a few gold, pearl drops.
