Sailboat Wishes

Hello, I wanted to make a quick card to play along with the Papertrey Ink "create with us" challenge. 

We were to pick an inspiration card a model our card after it. So here is my inspiration. 

And here is my card.

I also wanted to play with a few other challenges that included one layer, colors, for a child, vehicles, and nautical. 

The color inspiration came from the Suger Peas photo. I used the shades of aqua, navy and tan from the wood in the pic. I also used stripes to draw the eye in like the pillow in the photo.

Riding with Friends

Good evening. One more quick card for tonight. The bicycle and greeting are both for Hero Arts. Banners and arrow are from PTI.

I started by masking an oval and stamping the banners over the mask. The used some chalk to create the halo around the oval. Last I stamped the bicycle and greeting after removing the mask.  I wanted to enter the card in the challenges below.

Squared In

Hello, Hope you are having a great weekend. We are having a super stressful week so I needed to take a quick stamping break. This is a card I created for 

PTI Monochrome Color Pop challenge #294. I used PTI Super Stripes background and the greeting from Frame Out #1 all stamped with Pallet black ink on white cardstock. Framing it with a piece of Raspberry Fizz cardstock and a punched square window. Super simple. Hardest part was spacing the stripes on the card front. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Leopard's Spots

Hey there, last card for tonight. This was one of those times I read through a challenge and thought I don't have any stamps that are safari animals.  Then I started brainstorming what do I have that will work. After a little internet research on leopard spots I noticed Avery Elle's Ikat Addition stamp set might work for this challenge.

I started with a natural ivory base card and layed out the curves with a bowl on my desk. Cut the curve by hand and traced a light pencil line to the inside of the card as a guideline for stamping. Stamped the spots in black and mustard ink with a little sponging of mustard ink over the top of the spots. I also sponges the Edge of the front panel. Finally I stamped the happy birthday from PTI Pen and Ink set on the front of the card. This made a pretty quick one layer card. Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Sending Prayers

Hello. Just hadn't stamped for a few days and thought I needed to put some ink to paper and enter a few challenges. You know I love a challenge. Lol

This card is a single layer card that uses two stamp sets from PTI, Pen & Ink and Sketched Shapes along with the coordinating dies. I also added some quick splatters of ink across the card to give some interest. Challenges entered will be listed below.

Splatter Love

So I guess you would call this card a happy mistake. I was going to try splattering some Distress Ink over a piece of Strathmore watercolor paper. I wet the paper down and used a water brush to splatter dots of color over the paper. While I was tapping the color on the set paper I splattered everything on my desk. 

The white A2 card base with the die cut "love" just happened to be laying on my desk. I had just received the dies and tried them out and hadn't planned out the card yet.  Now both of these splattered pieces just needed to be put together. I used a little Wink of Stella over the splattered letters. I wanted to enter this in the CAS-ual Fridays die only challenge and the Simon Says Stamp splatter challenge.

Cup of Coffee

Hey there. Hope your week is off to a good start. Decided I needed a little stamp challenge therapy tonight. We have been working outside the last few nights. I was going into withdrawal. Lol.

This card has a little magic in store for you. I think it reads pretty clean and simple. Kraft, white, pink and brown cardstock with just a few stamps. But the magic begins when you pull the ribbon up.

It reveals a hidden stamped panel.

I wanted to enter this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday food or drink challenge, Papertrey Ink #293 slider challenge and the Less is More #339 pierced challenge.
