AAA Cards Challenge #221

Hey there! We have a new challenge up on the AAA Cards blog today. We are working with small and few. With an optional twist of bugs.

My card is a one-layer card where I practiced ink-layering. I strated by using my Echo Park hexagon confetti die to create a stencil that I blended a light, yellow ink through. Then using the Hey Honey set from Sugar Peas set I stamped and embossed the bees. The greeting is also from the same stamp set.

Birthday Cupcake

Hello and happy Friday to you! I was playing with the Mini Delight: Cupcake and die set from Altenew. Such a fun little cupcake with great detail. I thought the Inspiration Challenge on the Altenew blog was a great way to start,

I stamped my cupcake and die cut 5 images to layer up. Then I stamped the happy birthday from Papertrey Inks KIS Birthday set to create my 3 rectangles of color for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Die cutting a scalloped circle from vellum I mounted the cupcake to the card front. Added a small tag stamped from the Bold Sentiments set and heat embossed it with clear powder. I thought this would be a cute tag for the cupcake and tied it to the image with a bit of coral twine. I left plenty of white space for the CAS part of my design.

AAA Cards Challenge #220

Ahhh...today we are playing along the edge with the sea in mind. Please come join us for the new challenge up on the AAA Cards blog. 

I started with a white panel that I masked 1.25" area that I stamped green and blue fish from Hero Arts. I then removed the mask and used my score board to dry emboss three lines to act as a boarder. I then stamped the hello and extra fish and heat embossed with clear detail powder. Die cut the fish and mounted it to the card front with foam tape. Then mounted the panel to a top, folding white card base.

Folk Floral #2

 Hey there. One more quick card for the Altenew Folk Art/Hello and Simon Says Stamp Fabulous Florals challenges.

My card started with a white panel that I stamped the Bamboo Rose set in black ink. Then the greeting from The Stamp Market, Scripty Sentiments. I colored the images with alcohol markers and added a bit of white gel pen. Then I ran it through my die cut machine with the Cross Stitch Canvas die. I then fussy cut the images out and added foam tape to the back. Using black card stock, I die cut the bamboo roses out and mounted to a black panel. Then mounted the stamped image and applied it to a top folding white card base.

Folk Art Floral

 Hello. I was checking out the Altenew Inspiration challenge and thought it might be fun. They added a few more details this month with making it a "hello" card also.

My card started with a white panel that I stamped the Bamboo Rose set in black ink. Then the greeting from The Stamp Market, Scripty Sentiments. I colored the images with alcohol markers and added a bit of white gel pen. Then I ran it through my die cut machine with the Cross Stitch Canvas die. Using a bit of washi to create a little flag and the holes of the die I did a line of cross stich X's. I felt that the stitching and canvas die added to that folk art feel.

AAA Cards Challenge #219

 Hello! Hoping all is well in your world. We have a fun new challenge up on the AAA Cards blog today. Have you started making any Christmas cards? Well dust off those Christmas stamps and lets spread a little Christmas joy in July!

I created a quick tag with Papertrey Ink's Winter Penguin set and the greeting Typed Christmas from Hello Bluebird stamps. I then mounted the tag to a pale aqua card with foam tape.
